Today we are feeling incredibly grateful. ❤️
Once again, Senior Helpers had the honor of being invited to the VA Christmas Party and this year we brought something new: our “Santa Post Command.” ✉️ 🪖
The idea was simple but meaningful: give everyone who attended, from little kids to veterans, a chance to write cards of love, encouragement, and support to our deployed troops. What we didn’t expect was how deeply it would touch all of us.
We watched veterans sit down and write messages like “I’ve been in your shoes… I know how you feel.” There was so much history, emotion, and solidarity in those few words. People got emotional!!!!
And then, just a few minutes later, we saw a little 5 y/o girl writing, “Merry Christmas, Dad,” genuinely believing her letter would find her father overseas. Moments like that make you pause. They remind you of the sacrifices, big and small made every single day by the people who keep this country safe.
It was beautiful. It was humbling. And it made us feel so honored to play even the smallest part in supporting our Veterans Administration and our military community.
Thank you again for inviting us.
We are grateful, honored, and truly blessed to be part of something so meaningful. 🇺🇸✨ and to my senior helpers team: THANK YOU!!! we really stepped it up this year, we basically became mail workers! And as you can see even Santa and Mrs. Claus jumped in and wrote some letters. 😂🎅🏼
