I've been a registered nurse for over ten years. Serving and helping people has always been my drive and the most rewarding thing about my career to date. When I decided to branch out from nursing, it was most important to me that I continue to make a real difference in people's lives. I am heavily [traditionally] tattooed, and I have found such joy, art, and therapy in receiving my tattoos. Discovering the growing field of medical tattooing was kismet for me. I was thrilled by the idea that I could take skills I've honed in my nursing career and transform them into an art form that has the power to restore confidence and self esteem to people who are struggling. Remember the skin cancer scar I revised for the beautiful lady about a week ago? Check it out now!!🔥 The hypertrophic texture is already way improved and some melanin has been brought to the surface, bringing the scar closer to her skin color. Full healing will take about a month and then I will treat her again, fully camouflaging it into the surrounding skin. *Everyone heals differently and some people will take a little longer.

I have a friend that feels her vitiligo is a part of her, another that the scar on his leg serves as a reminder of something he survived, that these are things they would never cover up. I love that so much ☺️ I also understand that for some people, their scars may remind them of something they want to forget, their stretch marks may cause a lower self esteem, that certain areas of their skin create a desire to hide and cover up. Take a peek as I do a scar revision for this beauty! She has a scar on her shoulder from a skin cancer removal a few years ago. This first session, I used Nue Conceal Nue SR Serum to retexture her hypertrophic scar and bring some melanin back to the area. At a second session, we’ll camouflage it completely using Nue Conceal’s mineral pigments. Stay tuned for before and after shots in a few weeks! ✨
