Sigma Phi Epsilon at Florida Gulf Coast University FGCU SigEp
Sigma Phi Epsilon is a fraternity based on Virtue, Diligence and Brotherly Love

Sigma Phi Epsilon was founded in 1901 on the campus of Richmond College (now called the University of Richmond) in Richmond, Va. The story of its founding by 12 determined men set the stage for the growth and success of one of the country’s premier fraternal organizations. The history of the Fraternity reflects the times, through great wars and profound cultural shifts. Throughout the decades, the men of Sigma Phi Epsilon have practiced their values and embraced the stated desire of the Founders, "This fraternity will be different, it will be based on the love of God and the principle of peace through brotherhood.

Please read a little bit about our philanthropy:
The Logan Stryker Foundation is a charitable organization established to honor the legacy of Logan Charles Stryker, a young philanthropist from Estero, Florida. Logan was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer in 2022 and, despite his battle, dedicated himself to supporting other pediatric oncology patients. He raised over $30,000 for Golisano Children’s Hospital, contributing to initiatives like installing a slushy machine on the oncology floor.

Following Logan’s passing in July 2024, the foundation continues his mission by supporting pediatric oncology families and funding research to find treatments for childhood cancers. The foundation’s fundraising efforts, such as the “StrykOutCancer” initiative, aim to share Logan’s story and make a positive impact in the fight against cancer.

Logan’s parents are Florida Gulf Coast University SigEp and Zeta alum.

Our executive board travelled to Atlanta, Georgia this past weekend for the Sigma Phi Epsilon Carlson Leadership Academy. Each brother got to learn more about their leadership positions, network with several other SigEp chapters, and enjoy some time in the city before heading home. They are eager to implement all they’ve learned to further benefit this chapter.

Thanks to for hosting.

Brother of the Month: Carter Penn

Meet Carter, a junior who transferred from Calvin University and has been an incredible addition to our brotherhood. After college, he plans to pursue a career in medical sales and hopes to make Florida his home. When asked what he loves most about SigEp, his answer was simple—the brothers. Carter is also our VP of recruitment and brought home a great new spring rush class.

Keep up the great work Carter
