In July, we raise awareness that UV is the root cause of most skin cancers and encourage the public to take precautions. The AAD recommends that the public the year-round by following three simple steps while outdoors:

Seek shade when appropriate

Wear sun-protective clothing

Apply a broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher

🌞🍽️ The City of Cape Coral’s Parks & Recreation Department is teaming up with the School District of Lee County and the USDA to host Summer BreakSpot at Paul Sanborn Park, starting today. Children and youth aged 18 and under can enjoy free lunches provided by the Lee County School District every weekday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Paul Sanborn Park, located at 2310 SE 3rd Street. The program will run through July 31, excluding June 19 and July 4.

In addition to free lunches, the Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Fun-Mobile will be on-site with free games and activities for kids. The Fun-Mobile has recently been upgraded to include even more games, toys, and crafts, ensuring a fun time for all.
