We are in urgent need of foster homes for bottle baby kittens. 🐱🍼

With feedings every 3–4 hours and lots of warmth and care, you’ll be giving them exactly what they need to thrive until they’re ready to eat on their own at around 4–5 weeks old.

If you’ve ever considered fostering, now is the perfect time to step in.

TWO NEW DOLLY'S DREAM DOGS ANNOUNCED!!
Iris Mae & Lina have been named our latest Dolly's Dream dogs.

Dolly’s Dream is a special program that helps some of our long-term or harder-to-place dogs by covering their adoption fees and sending them home with extra supplies, all thanks to the incredible support of Dolly’s Dream. Dolly's Dream adopters are gifted with a bag of treats/toys, a bed and crate. Also, Dolly's Dream sponsors all adoption fees for those chosen as Dolly's Dream dogs!

Iris Mae is a 3-year-old lovebug, weighing 53 pounds, with adorable ears and a sweet, charming face. Friendly and affectionate, she loves spending time with her people—whether on walks or just relaxing together.

Lina, at 7, has a gentle, loving nature. This sweet, calm girl enjoys being around people and would love a home where she can feel safe and cherished. She qualifies for our Silver Paws VIP Program, offering added support for her adopter. She’s looking for a compassionate family to give her the care and love she deserves.

Our Yappy Hour photos with the Easter Bunny are ready 🐰✨

Thank you to everyone who came out for a fun evening of pups, people, and plenty of Easter Bunny photo ops! We loved seeing everyone and their pups enjoying the event, and it’s always extra special when we get visits from our GCHS alum pups coming back to say hi and show off how well they’re doing.

Big smiles for a big weekend 🐾

After 119 days of waiting, Lucy finally found her forever home—and Tinea, our longest-term cat at 91 days, is officially adopted too. Two long waits that ended exactly how we hoped.

There’s nothing better than seeing these pets get the fresh start they deserve 💛

Our “Baby Got Fluff” and “I Like Big Mutts” adoption specials are still going strong all month long—making adoption fees ½ price for dogs over 40 lbs and all adult cats. If you’ve been thinking about adding a new family member, now’s the perfect time to visit.

Volunteer Appreciation Week is officially underway, and we’re starting the week with a simple truth: we couldn’t do this without our volunteers.

From walking dogs and socializing cats to helping at events and supporting our team behind the scenes, your time makes a direct impact on every animal in our care. You show up, you put in the work, and it matters more than you probably realize.

Thank you for being here, for sticking with us, and for showing up for the animals who need it most.

Asta has been with us for 93 days and still hasn’t had a single meet and greet.

He’s a 3-year-old, 67-pound mixed breed with a soft light brown coat and the sweetest, kindest expression. Asta is a gentle, loving boy who truly enjoys being around his people. His favorite thing in the world is simple—being close. Cuddles, belly rubs, quiet time by your side… that’s where he’s happiest.

He has a calm, affectionate nature and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal, easygoing best friend.

Asta is ready for a home—and this is the perfect time to meet him. His adoption fee is 50% off for the entire month of April thanks to our “I Like Big Mutts” adoption special.

If you’ve been thinking about adopting, come meet Asta.
