We are expanding to include a dedicated weight-loss and gut-brain health program and are seeking a like-minded, autonomous Family Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about functional health, metabolic restoration, inflammation-based mental illness, and whole-person care.

Position Overview
This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial FNP who wants to build and manage their own patient panel while benefiting from the infrastructure of an established private practice. You will operate independently while supported by full billing, scheduling, admin, and EHR systems.
You will provide evidence-based weight-loss care, metabolic screenings, nutrition-based clinical interventions, and management of the gut-brain axis as it relates to mental health, inflammation, trauma, stress, and cognitive function.
This role is especially suited for an NP who wants to transition out of corporate medicine and into an outcomes-driven, relationship-centered practice model.

Responsibilities
• Conduct initial and follow-up weight-loss and metabolic health evaluations
• Order and interpret appropriate labs (metabolic, inflammatory, GI, hormones, etc.)
• Develop individualized plans integrating nutrition, functional medicine, behavioral change, and medication when appropriate
• Prescribe and manage GLP-1 therapy (experience preferred but not required)
• Educate patients on microbiome health, gut-brain interactions, and lifestyle-based psychiatric support
• Provide optional telehealth services for eligible patients
• Maintain compliant documentation within the provided EHR
• Participate in optional team case reviews and expansion-planning sessions
• Help shape and grow the weight-loss + gut-brain specialty line within the practice

Ideal Candidate Qualifications
✅ Active, unrestricted Florida FNP license (or ability to obtain)
✅ Certification as FNP (AANP or ANCC)
✅ Comfortable operating in a 1099 independent contractor role
✅ Clinical interest or experience in one or more of the following:
• Weight-loss medicine
• GLP-1 management
• Microbiome/gut-brain science
• Functional or integrative medicine
• Metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance, PCOS, inflammation-based disorders
✅ Strong patient communication, education and continuity-care mindset
✅ Able to function autonomously without corporate oversight
✅ Growth-oriented — sees patients as humans, not quotas
Preferred but not required:
• Experience with compounding pharmacies, peptides, or cash-pay labs
• Ability to offer virtual group visits, programs, workshops, or curriculum development
