Elizabeth Goldbach spent months dealing with severe peri-menopausal bleeding that affected every part of her life. When other treatments did not work, she chose to move forward with a total hysterectomy.

Because of generous donors, her care team at Lee Health was able to use the da Vinci robotic surgical system to perform a minimally invasive procedure. This technology allowed for smaller incisions, less pain, reduced bleeding, and a quicker recovery.

Elizabeth went home the same day and did not need pain medication. Today, she says she feels stronger, healthier, and grateful to have her life back.

Donor support helps bring advanced surgical technology to patients when they need it most. Your generosity can help create better outcomes and brighter futures.

Thank you to our longtime supporters who joined us for a special MarineMax Yacht Gala pre-event celebration at Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida.

It was an honor to welcome you behind the scenes to learn more about the SEA STAR Program and see firsthand how this innovative initiative is creating safer, more supportive healthcare experiences for children with autism and sensory sensitivities.

From sensory-friendly spaces to specialized training for care teams, SEA STAR is guiding a more inclusive path to care for children and families across Southwest Florida. Your time, interest, and continued commitment help make this work possible.

We look forward to gathering again under a million stars at the 10th Annual MarineMax Yacht Gala on Thursday, February 20, 2026, at MarineMax Fort Myers. Together, we will continue to support lifesaving and compassionate care at Golisano Children’s Hospital.

Cancer changes more than the body. It affects every part of life.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, Lee Health Cancer Institute has brought Cancer Support Community to Southwest Florida. This fully donor-funded program provides free psychosocial support to anyone impacted by cancer, including patients, caregivers, and loved ones.

From support groups and education to yoga, art, music, and pet therapy, Cancer Support Community offers a welcoming space where people can connect, recharge, and feel understood. Located within Lee Health’s Regional Cancer Center, the environment is designed to feel less like a hospital and more like home.

This program would not exist without donor support. Because of our community’s generosity, individuals facing cancer have access to comfort, connection, and care beyond medical treatment.

Your support helps ensure no one faces cancer alone.

In 2025, because of you, lives were saved, families were supported, and care was strengthened at Lee Health. Together, we helped bring lifesaving equipment into our hospitals, expand programs for children and families, support specialized care including mental health, pediatrics, heart care, and cancer care, and ensure our care teams had what they needed when it mattered most.

These were not just projects. They were moments of hope. They were answers in an emergency. They were comfort during the hardest days.

From advanced technology and critical upgrades to compassionate programs that support patients beyond the bedside, every dollar given stayed local and made a real difference for real people right here at home.

Thank you for believing in our mission. Thank you for showing up. And thank you for proving once again that when we come together, our community is stronger!

Please note: Lee Health Foundation offices will be closed tomorrow and will reopen on January 2.

Last month, the Skilled Nursing Unit at Gulf Coast Medical Center participated in specialized training on Evacusleds, emergency evacuation devices made possible through funding from Team Member Giving. These devices allow medical staff to safely transport patients from the Skilled Nursing Unit in the event of an emergency, helping ensure continuity of care when it matters most.

Lee Health team members can apply for Team Member Giving funding to support training, professional certifications, and medical equipment that enhance patient care across our health system.
