🧠 World Stroke Day reinforces our commitment to stroke care.

The BEFAST protocol captures stroke care's defining urgency: every minute without specialist intervention means irreversible brain damage.

This is the gap we work hard to close every day: connecting hospitals to the specialized expertise that transforms recognition into action, enabling the rapid clinical decisions that preserve brain tissue and restore lives.

Acting F.A.S.T. can change a life. When you spot one of these stroke warning signs, call 911 right away.

EEG coverage gaps cost hospitals far more than transport fees.

Each patient transfer creates downstream revenue loss, operational strain, and clinical risk that standard reporting misses.

When our physicians gather, the work goes deeper than strategy. It is thoughtful leadership in action.

Thoughtful leadership means anticipating your hospital partners' operational challenges before they surface—our boots on the ground supporting your boots on the ground.

Last week's session at headquarters focused on the operational realities that make partnerships succeed: refining workflows, optimizing scheduling, and ensuring every consultation delivers the clinical excellence our hospitals depend on.

This is how digital healthcare solutions improve—through deliberate collaboration among the physicians who deliver care daily and a shared commitment to making every interaction count.

Our Story

TeleSpecialists is a physician-owned management service organization committed to providing exceptional emergent and non-emergent neurology patient care via telemedicine. Founded in 2013 by a small group of physicians, TeleSpecialists has rapidly expanded to over 50 board-certified neurologists serving over 175 hospital locations. Its partnerships with over 30 health systems have increased patient access to acute neurology expertise.

TeleSpecialists continues to expand its telemedicine services, physician workforce and hospital endpoints while providing integrated quality and performance improvement support. As more hospitals face a neurologist shortage linked to an increase in stroke patients, TeleSpecialists is well positioned as the premier national TeleStroke provider solution.

TeleSpecialists collaborates with its hospital partners to develop a lean and efficient 24/7 TeleStroke program with standardized workflows. Once implemented, its emergent TeleNeurology consults are followed by a collaborative continuous improvement model, which ensures rapid response times and strong clinical metrics. As a complement to its TeleStroke programs, TeleSpecialists offers TeleNeuroHospitalist rounding services to provide follow-up consults for retained stroke patients and routine, non-emergent neurological consults for admitted new patients.
