🍂✨ Fall is in the air, and so is creativity! ✨🍂

This week our learners are exploring fall-themed coloring activities that go beyond art. 🍁 Using crayons and markers helps strengthen fine motor skills like grasp, control, and endurance, while also encouraging peer interaction through sharing materials, taking turns, and giving compliments to friends. 💛

Activities like these support independence, social growth, and creativity—all while celebrating the beauty of the season. 🍂🎨

APA Statement on White House Announcement on Autism

September 22, 2025
Washington, D.C. — In reaction to today’s White House announcement, the American Psychiatric Association issued the following statement:

“It is essential that the administration prioritizes evidence-based support for individuals on the autism spectrum and invests in long-term comprehensive research about the disorder.

Vaccines do not cause autism. Claims of any such association have been repeatedly discredited in peer reviewed studies.

Autism is a complex disorder, and it is incorrect to imply that a handful of studies have established causation. A strong base of evidence shows that acetaminophen, when taken as directed, is safe for use during pregnancy. Any decisions around a course of treatment should be determined by a patient and their doctor.

Leucovorin (folinic acid) has not been a recommended treatment for autism. It will require many more years of research before we know if leucovorin is an appropriate treatment for individuals with autism.

Autism spectrum disorders exist on a spectrum of neurodiversity. The country must focus its resources on expanding access to care and to building the evidence-base for future treatments.”

American Psychiatric Association
The American Psychiatric Association, founded in 1844, is the oldest medical association in the country. The APA is also the largest psychiatric association in the world with more than 39,200 physician members specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and research of mental illnesses. APA’s vision is to ensure access to quality psychiatric diagnosis and treatment.

🚫 Let’s clear up some misinformation 🚫

Recently, claims have been circulating suggesting that Tylenol causes autism. This is not true.

Autism was first identified in 1911 by Swiss psychiatrist Eugen Bleuler. Tylenol (acetaminophen), however, wasn’t introduced to the public until 1959, nearly 50 years later.

Autism is a neurodevelopmental condition with strong genetic foundations. It is not caused by medications like Tylenol.

New Research Update: Acetaminophen (Tylenol) & Neurodevelopment

A new study published in JAMA and funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has found no association between acetaminophen (Tylenol) use during pregnancy and increased risk of autism, ADHD, or intellectual disability in children.

Conducted by the Karolinska Institute in Sweden and Drexel University, this is the largest study of its kind, analyzing data from nearly 2.5 million Swedish children born between 1995–2019.

Researchers initially observed a slight increase in risk among children exposed to acetaminophen. However, when comparing siblings—who share both genetics and home environments—this risk disappeared. This type of sibling analysis makes the results much stronger and reduces the chance of outside factors influencing findings.

What this means: Acetaminophen, when used appropriately, is not linked to autism, ADHD, or intellectual disability. This research helps put to rest recent claims that have caused unnecessary concern for parents.

At ABA Results, we are committed to sharing facts, supporting families, and dispelling myths so that parents can make informed decisions with confidence. 💙💛

🌟 Thank You for Celebrating Grandparents Day with Us! 🌟

Today was a beautiful reminder of the love, support, and wisdom that grandparents bring into our lives. 💛 A heartfelt thank you to all the incredible grandparents who joined us for our Grandparents Day Celebration, your presence made the day truly special!

At ABA Results, we believe that family is the heart of progress. Grandparents play a vital role in the growth and development of our children, and your involvement in their journey is powerful. Whether it’s offering a comforting hug, sharing stories from the past, or simply showing up with unconditional love, your presence matters.

💙 ABA therapy is most effective when it extends beyond the therapy room and into the child’s everyday life. Family support, especially from grandparents, helps reinforce the skills children are learning, building stronger communication, deeper relationships, and lasting success.

Today was more than just a celebration, it was a moment to honor the connection between family, love, and learning. Thank you for being a part of your grandchild’s journey and ours.

With gratitude,
The ABA Results Team

🧩✨ Sensory Exploration Meets Early Intervention at ABA Results ✨🧩

At ABA Results, we know that early intervention can make all the difference—especially when it's paired with the right environment.

That's why our sensory room is a core part of our therapy for our youngest learners. Designed to support regulation, focus, and engagement, this safe, calming space helps early intervention clients build the foundation for learning through play-based ABA therapy.

🛁 Bubble tubes, soft lighting, tactile walls, swings, and more—each element is intentionally chosen to help children develop:
✅ Sensory regulation
✅ Joint attention
✅ Communication skills
✅ Social-emotional development
✅ Independence in daily routines

With one-on-one support from our trained ABA therapists, our early learners are gently guided through activities that are both therapeutic and joyful.

💙 Because at ABA Results, we believe every milestone matters, and every child deserves a space to feel safe, supported, and celebrated.
