The weather outside is frightful but the holiday decorations — particularly in these three north Alabama locations — are more than a little delightful.

When I went into counseling, I always thought I’d end up in private practice. Then I got stuck. Fear of failure and self doubt kept me in place for years.

When I turned 50, I thought, it’s now or never.

I’m so grateful I stepped into the unknown. I’ve grown so much as a clinician, and I’m happier than I’ve ever been in my career.

Thank you for letting me walk beside you. You are part of that twenty-year-old's dream.

Bibliotherapy - it's a thing.... (But not in this case- this is just fun and I need to share so stick with me.)

I don’t remember the last time I enjoyed a book as much as this series. I’ve now convinced seven friends and clients to read them, and every single one of them loves it. I giggled. I kicked my heels. I got teary. All the feels. You can find them on Kindle Unlimited, audiobook (check Hoopla and Libby), and BOOKCLUB Fort Payne has the paperbacks.

Guess what… you can bring snacks to counseling. You can even bring a whole burger and fries. I love it because it means you feel comfortable with me. So come to your session, kick off your shoes, drink your Starbys, and let’s do work.

Usually what does well on IG doesn't translate to FB but this might be my favorite reel ever. I really do make "content" to entertain myself but maybe you will be entertained as well.
