Just a reminder for you to take a moment each and every day. Even if you can only manage a 30 second unfocused gaze out a window to rest your eyes and mind, do it for your mental health! You’ll be surprised how much it helps when it becomes a habit. Relax your face muscles, unclench your jaws, drop your shoulders and take a nice, deep, cleansing breath.

The world is still full of good, kind, gentle humans and creatures. Focus on the helpers. I bet you’re one of them 💚

Breaking news, folks! I've managed to sneak some goodies from the Mercantile Apothecary into my booth at The Possum Emporium, but don't get too excited, it's a limited supply... for now! I've also got a small stash of that olive oil everyone went wild for at the Taste of Europe event. I'm pretty sure I can sweet-talk the focaccia queen into hooking you up with her famous bread. Just a heads up, the Mercantile might be gone, but Leanne Holcomb and I are keeping the spirit alive with some of your old favorites. Leanne Holcomb. To Our Beloved Customers,

It’s with a full heart and a bittersweet spirit that we share some sad news with you. The Mercantile on Gault will be closing its doors at the end of May, 2025. While this certainly wasn’t part of the plan, we hold nothing but love and gratitude for the journey we’ve shared together in this space.

Thanks to your support, our little store really blossomed into something truly special - a gathering place full of warmth, joy, and community. You made that possible!

Though we’re saying goodbye to our Fort Payne home, The Mercantile Apothecary will be relocating to Stevenson, Alabama, and re-opening in June 2025. We’re hard at work making the new space just as charming, welcoming, and full of magic as the one you’ve come to know. We are also happy to ship anything that you might need if you're unable to make the trip to Stevenson, so stay tuned for information on our new website! We would love to continue being a part of your health and wellness, from wherever we are 💚
