Glen D. Clarke

Glen D. Clarke, age 68, of Port St. Lucie, passed away March 2, 2026 after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on June 1, 1957, in Mannington Township, New Jersey, Glen was the son of Shirley and George W. Clarke Jr. A lifelong resident of Pennsville, he graduated from Pennsville Memorial High School in 1975. Shortly after graduation, Glen proudly enlisted in the United States Navy, serving as a submariner aboard the USS Von Steuben (SSBN-632). He achieved the rank of Seaman (E-3) Engineer Apprentice and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal in recognition of his service to his country.

After completing his military service, Glen returned home and began a career with DuPont, working as a skilled carpenter for ten years. His strong work ethic and craftsmanship eventually led him to establish his own business, Tri-County Building, which he successfully operated until his retirement in 2015.

Glen was deeply committed to his fellow veterans and his community. He was an active member of American Legion Post 358, where he proudly served as Commander. In 2016, he joined Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8058, serving in numerous leadership roles including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Year Trustee and Junior Vice Commander. For his dedication and hands-on work providing building repairs and upgrades at Westside Veterans Association, Glen was honored with the VFW Distinguished Service Citation and Pen.

Glen found joy in life’s simple pleasures — his Jeep, relaxing by his pool, woodworking, boating, fishing, and especially playing shuffleboard. In recent years, he spent much of his time at VFW Post 8058 in Ft. Pierce, where he was a familiar face and frequent top finisher in shuffleboard competitions. He generously shared his love of fishing by organizing a deep-sea charter trip for fellow members. Anyone who fished alongside Glen — whether from shore or from his boat — knew the depth of his passion for the water.

Whatever Glen pursued, he did so with determination and pride. Whether it was fishing, shuffleboard, or craftsmanship, he strived to be the best. He will be remembered for his unwavering spirit, his love of animals, his steadfast loyalty to friends and family, and his willingness to help anyone in need.

Glen was predeceased by his father, George W. Clarke Jr., and his brother, George W. Clarke III (“Georgie”).

He is survived by his mother, Shirley G. Clarke of Yulee, Florida; his sons, Glen D. Clarke Jr. and his wife Ashley of Wilmington, Delaware, along with their son Wyatt; and Jeffery M. Clarke and his wife Christina of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, along with their children Maya, Mason, and Jackson. He is also survived by his sister, Deborah G. Sauer and her husband Craig of Yulee, Florida; his brother, Steven R. Clarke and his wife Stacie of Warwick, Maryland; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful neighbors; and the love of his life and devoted partner, Alice Postlewait.

Glen’s legacy of service, strength, and love will live on in all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026 from 1:00-2:00 PM with a service to follow at 2:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. Burial will take place at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, Florida.

Caroline Hunt

Born June 28, 1942, in Elba, Alabama, Caroline Sue Johnson was the fifth child of Cleve and Bena Johnson. She married Ralph Horton and they had a son, Ralph “Skipper” Horton. They later divorced. On December 30, 1966, she married James “Dan” Hunt and he passed away in 1987.

Carol passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents Cleve and Bena, husband Dan, her brothers Hillard (Buck) and Cecil Johnson, and her sisters Agnes Davis and Barbara Weeks-Rainey. She is survived by her son Skipper (Tammy), a granddaughter Faith, sister Marie Goins (Buddy) and numerous nephews and nieces. Skipper and Faith were her whole world.

She was a waitress for many years She loved her job, but she loved those tips even more. She retired from Golden Corral in 2024. There were many times that she would come home after an hour, because there was someone who needed the “shift” more than she did. She would even pick up or take-home coworkers who needed help with transportation. She loved her customers. Your cup was never empty. Always offering coffee after every meal, even if you didn’t order it. She would make her own “rules” sometimes, but thankfully the management really liked her.

She also worked for the State of Florida at the Treasure Coast Job Training Center and the Department of Children and Families. At those jobs, she would help individuals learn the skills they needed to apply for and achieve employment, help them find childcare and clothes for a job interview, and help families qualify for food stamps and assistance.

She was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church and then Orange Avenue Baptist Church. She would collect food and clothes for the various ministries, helped out the finance committee, and handed out daily devotion books everywhere she went.

She never met a stranger. She would talk to anyone anywhere. She loved deeply and spoke freely. If she thought it, she said it, so you better be prepared.

A visitation will be held at Haisley Funeral Home on March 8th, 2026 beginning at 5:00pm, and concluding at 7:00pm. A graveside service will be the following day, March 9th, 2026 at White City Cemetery, starting at 11:00am.

Beverly Ann Coker

Beverly Ann Coker, 83, originally of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Cleveland, Tennessee, Beverly later moved to Ocala, Florida at a young age, where she spent most of her adult life building her home and raising her family. Her life was defined by love, strength, generosity, and devotion to those she cherished most. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Sasko, whom she loved dearly.

Beverly was a devoted and amazing mother to Allen Carter, Johnny Carter, Judith Avery, Greg Richardson, and Melissa Tommie. She was also blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who brought her tremendous joy. Her family was the center of her world.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert & Ed Wooten and 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

She was known for her kindness, loving and caring nature, and her sweet spirit. Beverly was a wonderful grandmother and a fiercely protective mother — very sweet, but no one dared to mess with her children. She was a very hard worker who loved to stay busy and took pride in everything she did.

Cooking and baking were not only her profession, but her true passion. She loved preparing meals for her family and took great pride in baking beautiful cakes for weddings. Sharing her food was one of the many ways she showed her love. In her spare time, she also found a little fun in her scratch-off tickets. Even with what little she had, Beverly gave generously, donating to many organizations — from animal charities to veterans’ causes — always wanting to help in any way she could.

Beverly’s legacy is one of strength, warmth, compassion, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew her.
