Colorectal cancer is one of the most common cancers, but when detected early, it is highly treatable. Regular screenings can help find precancerous polyps before they turn into cancer or catch cancer at an early stage when treatment is most effective.

We were honored to attend the Purple Heart ceremony for Senior Sergeant Erik Levasseur of the Port St. Lucie Police Department.

Recently, Marie returned to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital to honor a promise she made to her dad to personally thank the nurses who cared for him during his stay. Among them was Nurse Youdi, pictured here, who made a lasting impact on their family.

Marie shared:
“My dad made us promise that we would come back to recognize the nurses who took care of him. He was always at ease with them around. We all felt very comforted by them.”

A beautiful new chapter in an incredible story.

Just weeks ago, this family’s journey began with a dramatic rescue that captured hearts across our community. This week we’re celebrating the moment everyone has been waiting for — baby Ivory is going home.

After spending time growing stronger in our care, Ivory was discharged this week and left HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital with her mom, Shedly, and her fiancé by their side. It was a joyful moment for this family and for the team who had the honor of caring for them along the way.

Shoutout to Our 5-PCU Team!

We’re proud to recognize the incredible team on 5-PCU at HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital for their outstanding support during our Field Day on March 6. Through their enthusiasm, teamwork, and generosity, the 5-PCU team raised more than $5,000 for the American Heart Association!

Their efforts played a big part in helping our hospital raise $18,000 overall for this important cause. Thank you, 5PCU, for stepping up and making a difference for heart health in our community.

We are grateful for colleagues who continue to show that caring extends far beyond our hospital walls.
