In the aftermath of an explosion that left the Hupp family’s dream home in ruins and caused serious injury and loss of life to members of their family, this page was created to be a hub for information regarding support efforts for the family. This page is managed by good friends of the Hupp's, Casey & Shelly Cowan, with the support of Realizing Rural, at the request of Trevor and Kelsey. All information is fact-checked and approved by the Hupp family as a way to organize information and protect the friends and communities working so hard to support the Hupp’s. Please share any fundraising or other support efforts with this page to ensure all information is centralized. Questions regarding fundraising, collections, or other support efforts should be shared with this page directly to streamline information and ensure Trevor and Kelsey can focus all their energy on Royce and Myles during their recovery. Kelsey and Trevor are eager to share their immense gratitude. They’d like everyone to know that “there are no words to adequately express how humbled and thankful we are for all of your support. Please know that while we are unable to answer all of your calls, texts, messages etc. We are reading and listening to them. Our families, friends and communities are so important to us, and we are so grateful for all of your prayers and thoughts during our time of need.”
Kelsey and Trevor have also asked that all those who have supported their family during this difficult time wrap their good friends Shane and Jess Ludemann in their arms and prayers. While visiting Trevor, Kelsey, Myles and Royce in St. Paul, the Ludemann’s lost their teenage son River. Kelsey said on the Caring Bridge site, “We have already asked so much from our family, friends, community and followers, but I desperately need you to pray for someone in our close tribe as they face their own tragedy. They will need the same outpouring of love and support that we have been given.” Thanks in advance for surrounding them in love and support. You can follow updates from Kelsey and Trevor regarding Myles and Royce on their Caring Bridge site: https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/mylesandroyceyboy
Regarding donations, please note:
Physical Donations:
• All physical items that have been collected may go to Maier’s Meats, the “Hangout,” in Ft. Pierre at 102 Deadwood Street. Family and friends are organizing items there for the family to use as they need them.
• Thus far the family has been blessed with an overwhelming number of physical items. The family is overflowing with gratitude for the generosity they have seen. For now, however, they kindly ask that people pause donating physical items until there is more certainty regarding timing and housing for their family. Thanks again to those who have contributed items thus far. Monetary Donations:
• First Dakota National Bank has established a secure account at First Dakota National: “The Hupp Family Benefit.” Donations can be made at any First Dakota location.
• Donations can also be made on the following Go Fund Me page: https://gofund.me/207ecbdd
• No amount of money will replace what’s been lost, but the family is immensely grateful for the financial support they have received thus far. Every little bit will help ease the family’s financial strain in the coming months. Thanks again for your outpouring of prayers and support. In light of this tragedy, the Hupp’s are reminded of how immensely lucky they are to have the friends, family and communities they do.
