Mother’s Day can bring joy, gratitude, grief, stress, longing, or a mix of all of them at once.

Today, we honor:
🌷 the moms doing their best
🌷 the women grieving mothers or children
🌷 the foster and adoptive moms
🌷 the stepmoms and grandmothers
🌷 the exhausted moms
🌷 the moms healing while raising others
🌷 and those who wish this day felt different

There is no “perfect” way to mother, and there is no “correct” way to feel today.

Be gentle with yourself.
You are allowed to celebrate, grieve, rest, remember, or simply make it through the day.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Fort Smith Therapy 💙

So many of us push through stress, anxiety, or exhaustion because we think it’s “not that bad yet.”
But your mental health doesn’t need to hit a crisis point to deserve attention. You’re allowed to take care of yourself right now.

Struggling to slow your thoughts at night?

Try journaling before bed:
✔ Write out everything on your mind
✔ Don’t worry about it making sense
✔ Close the notebook when you’re done

It gives your brain permission to rest.

What are you holding in that you haven’t said out loud?

Sometimes the things we avoid talking about are the things weighing on us the most.

You don’t have to carry it forever.

Needing support doesn’t mean you’re weak—it means you’re human.

We aren’t meant to carry everything alone.
Sometimes healing starts when you let someone walk alongside you.

Overthinking isn’t just “thinking too much.”

It’s:
• Replaying conversations
• Imagining worst-case scenarios
• Struggling to turn your mind off
• Second-guessing yourself constantly

It’s exhausting.

And it’s something you can learn to manage.

Today we celebrate Brandi for Administrative Professionals Day!

From the moment she joined our team, she has brought a sense of calm that you can feel the second you walk in the door. She is a hard worker, a problem-solver, and truly the calm in the middle of every storm.

We are so thankful for the care and dedication she shows to our office, our therapists, and our clients every single day.

Starting therapy can feel intimidating—especially if you don’t know what to expect.

Here’s what your first session usually looks like:
✔ Talking about what brought you in
✔ Sharing as much (or as little) as you’re comfortable with
✔ Getting a feel for your therapist
✔ Beginning to identify goals

There’s no pressure to have the “right words.”
Just showing up is enough.

We’re here when you’re ready.

You don’t have to wait until things fall apart to go to therapy.

Sometimes therapy looks like:
• Wanting to feel less overwhelmed
• Learning how to say no without guilt
• Figuring out why you keep repeating the same patterns
• Just needing a space where it’s about you for once

You are allowed to work on yourself even when things are “okay.”
