The day has finally come! Shawn Kispert and Kerry Underwood became the owners of Fresh Roots Fort Smith in October and today we make it officially OURS by rebranding.

We went back and forth for months about what our new name would be and what we wanted it to convey to our clients. There are so many “re” words that come to mind when I think of what therapy offers people: restore, rejuvenate, revive, revitalize…and REFRESH was the perfect way to honor our beginning here in Fort Smith but also be able to begin anew on a journey of our own.

We are thankful for our time under the leadership of Brad Franklin (and Mary Jeppsen) since 2015, and look forward to continue to support and partner with Fresh Roots Rogers in our shared passion to be a compassionate and safe place for people to do the hard work of therapy!

Merry Christmas from our Fresh Roots Fort Smith family to yours! Our office got together for our annual Christmas party and celebrated another year of being able to serve the River Valley. Thank you for letting this crew be part of your journey!

Happy Monday from Fresh Roots Fort Smith! With Fall comes change, and exciting change is coming to our office. As of today, our new owners are Shawn Kispert and Kerry Underwood. We are excited about this new chapter for our office and what this new journey will continue to offer our clients!

We are forever thankful for the leadership and support that Brad Franklin and Fresh Roots Rogers has offered us for over 7 years here in the River Valley. We look forward to our continued relationship with them as we walk alongside one another in our new journeys!

As always, our commitment will remain the same- to be a place that our clients can receive quality mental health care in a safe, comfortable and most importantly, welcoming environment! Meet Shawn Kispert LPC, CSAT, CMAT, our Clinical Director and one of our counselors for the Fort Smith location. Shawn works with individuals aged 15+ and, among other things, is certified in EMDR therapy.
“Watching people realize their worth is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.”, says Shawn. She’s continuously inspired by people from all walks of life, including Julie K Brown, Michael Singer, Russell Brand, and Dolly Parton. During her time at home she enjoys reading and being with her two dogs, Jack and Mo (also known as "Disco Fever").
