We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of two of our ARCOM students, Hannah Ford and Megan Herrold, both members of the Class of 2026. They were cherished members of our ACHE family, and their absence will be deeply felt across our campus and community.

We extend our deepest condolences to their families, friends, classmates, and all who loved them. In this time of grief, we encourage everyone to take care of themselves and each other.

Counseling services will be available on campus this week to support students, faculty, and staff.

In partnership with Peak Innovation Center, ARCOM recently hosted Latinos en Medicina camp, a hands-on medical learning camp for 8th and 9th-grade Latino students from Darby, Kimmons, and Ramsey middle schools in Fort Smith.

These teens explored CPR, stroke detection, suturing, glucose testing, diabetes care, and even osteopathic manipulative medicine guided by 12 dedicated ARCOM student volunteers each day!

“They are capable of great things,” said Dr. Monica Rojas Chavez. “We need more Latinos in medicine.”
