Your support allows us to continue providing Charitable Care to those in need, plan activities for our CES Waiver Persons Served, provide scholarships to Arc for the River Valley for Persons Served, and general donations support things such as our supplies for therapy activities, operating costs, and equipment needs.

‼️Please note that there have been changes to the USPS postmarking rules. Beginning on December 24, 2025, postmarks now reflect the date that the mail was processed NOT the date it was put in the mail. This means that if you mail a check on December 30th to make a 2025 year end donation, it may not get stamped until after January 1st which would require us to mark the donation as a 2026 donation. If you would like to donate via check to make your year end gift, you will need to either drop it off at the Center by 5:00 pm tomorrow OR you can request a hand stamped postmark when mailing the check to us. ‼️

Starting in January 2026, every child receiving therapy services and every person served in the CES Waiver program at The Kistler Center will receive a birthday card from our team. 🥳

At the beginning of each month, birthday cards will be signed, sealed, and then dropped in the mail to be delivered right to your mailbox! We know that birthdays are special and we hope that getting a card in the mail brings a smile to the recipients’ faces.

Over the last two weeks, we have done LOTS of Christmas celebrating at The Kistler Center between dress up days, visits from Pip the Elf, and ornament making. Last week we hosted our staff Christmas party, and it was a blast! ❤️💚

We started the day with a breakfast potluck and ended it with Minute to Win It games and a Rock, Paper, Scissors tournament! It was a great day full of fun, food, and laughter.

Santa made another stop at The Kistler Center today and dropped off a check from the William Thomas Hennessy and May Pitman Hennessy Charitable Foundation! The Kistler Center was awarded $4,000 to go toward our Charitable Care Program by the Foundation.

Hayley and Gina attended the Center for Non-Profits Holiday Social this morning at the Bakery District! ❤️💚

Did you know that there are 1,200 non-profit organizations within a 50 mile radius of Fort Smith? 1,200. That is incredible and mindblowing. 🤯

We are excited for all that is to come as the Center for Non-Profits continues to grow and grateful for UAFS and their commitment to helping support non-profits in our region.

Day three of our Christmas Dress Up Week was Grinch 💚 vs. Santa ❤️

Santa stole the show though when some true Christmas magic arrived this afternoon in the mail. We are SO excited to announce that the Kistler Center received $9,000 in grant funding today!

The Alline and C.C. Davis Charitable Foundation awarded us with $4,000 to buy a Tomato Adaptive Chair which is often used in Occupational Therapy. The Elizabeth H. and Stanley E. Evans Charitable Foundation awarded us $5,000 to put toward our Charitable Care Program which helps provide therapy services at little or no cost to patients who may be uninsured or underinsured.

Thank you to both of these incredible organizations for their support of The Kistler Center! Our ability to continue to serve our community is a direct result of awards such as this one.

We kicked off our Christmas Dress Up Week yesterday with pajama day, but unfortunately we were having so much fun we forgot to take pictures!

That’s okay though, because today is Tinsel Tuesday and our staff went all out to be shiny, sparkly, and full of holiday cheer! ❤️💚✨

Last night, Central Christian Church hosted a Christmas Party for our persons served/kids in therapy, their families, and our staff and their families. It was a great night spending time with one another and celebrating the holiday season together. ❤️💚🤍

The staff and volunteers from Central Christian Church did a phenomenal job making sure that the night ran smoothly and that everyone had a great time. They served a delicious dinner, performed a fun skit, and even provided an opportunity for pictures with Santa along with a gift for each child/person served in attendance. We are grateful for their continued support of The Kistler Center and everything that do to help us serve our patients well. Thank you to everyone who was part of this event!
