Please help us give a warm welcome to our new Community Development Coordinator, Hayley Howard!

Hayley grew up in the Fort Smith area and has a passion for helping others. In her free time, she enjoys painting, reading, exploring the farmers' market, and frequenting local restaurants.

Hayley is looking forward to meeting all of you and working the team at The Gregory Kistler Center to continue serving our community.

Robert and Eden are hard at work during their OT session today! 🎨✏️

Eden is following verbal instructions to draw different shapes—an activity that might seem simple, but it’s a powerful part of occupational therapy. Following instructions helps build listening and processing skills, while drawing shapes strengthens fine motor coordination and prepares kids for tasks like writing, cutting, and everyday independence.

Adelynn’s putting in the work with Krista during OT, and today’s “game” is more than just fun.

She’s using tongs to drop dog treats in a bowl — a playful way to build fine motor coordination, strengthen hand muscles, and improve grip control.

These skills lay the foundation for everyday tasks like writing, eating, and getting dressed — big steps toward independence.

At Kistler, we use purposeful play to help kids hit real-life milestones. Way to go, Adelynn!

Shark Week is in full swing at the Kistler Center! 🦈
Every year, our halls get decked out with fun shark-themed decorations — and the kids absolutely love it. They’ve been pitching in with the decorating and getting excited to see what each hallway has in store. Art on the Border was unforgettable — and we were honored to be part of it!

Kistler was selected as one of this year’s beneficiaries, and we showed up with a booth full of free merch, cookies, and big gratitude for our community. So many of you stopped by to say hello, and we loved every minute of it.

This year’s event had record-breaking art sales, all to support local artists and nonprofits. Thank you to everyone who made it special — your support truly means the world.
