We had such a fun and laughter-filled day thanks to Brittany from the Area Agency on Aging! 💚

She came out and led our residents in a game of chair volleyball, and let me tell you it was a hit! From the moment the ball started moving, the smiles were nonstop. There was laughter, cheering, and yes… a little friendly competition too. 😊

There’s something really special about moments like this 🥰

A room full of voices… some strong, some soft, some a little off key but every single one filled with life.💕

Today the residents gathered around, song sheets in hand, and for a little while it wasn’t about routines, medications, or schedules. It was about music. About memories. About connection.

You could see it in their faces the way a song can take someone back, bring a smile, spark a laugh, or even a tear. Some sang every word, some just listened, but all of them were part of something.

This is what care is really about.

Not just meeting needs…
but creating moments.

Moments where they feel seen.
Moments where they feel alive.
Moments where they’re more than a resident they’re a person with a story, a voice, and a life that still deserves to be felt fully.

Our residents had a great time this afternoon working on some Easter crafts together. The tables were full of markers, decorations, and lots of creativity!

There were plenty of laughs, good conversations, and everyone enjoyed sitting together and making something fun for the season. Moments like this are what make our days so special just residents enjoying time together and having a little fun.

We love seeing everyone’s personalities come out during activities like this. 💛

There’s something special about slowing down and enjoying the simple things together.

our residents gathered for a relaxing Wine & Cheese social, and it was filled with laughter, stories, and great conversation. Moments like these remind us how important it is to create opportunities for connection, joy, and community.

From sharing memories to making new friends, our residents truly know how to make the most of every moment. ❤️

Most people think being the administrator of an assisted living community is just a job.

It isn’t.

It’s a responsibility you carry with you long after the workday ends.

Because this work doesn’t stay inside the building when you leave.
It follows you home.

The phone rings early in the morning.
Late at night.
On weekends.
On holidays.

A resident needs help.
A family member needs reassurance.
A team member needs support.
A situation needs attention.

And in those moments, I’m reminded what this role really is.

I have the privilege of helping lead a community filled with people’s mothers and fathers…
grandparents…
neighbors…
friends.

People who spent their lives raising families, building communities, and caring for others.

And now their families trust us to care for them.

That responsibility is something I never take lightly.

Some days are humbling.

A resident will stop me in the hallway just to share a story from their life…
a memory from years ago…
or a simple “thank you.”

Moments that remind me these halls are filled with incredible lives and stories.

Some days are challenging.

Balancing the operations of a community, supporting our team, and making sure every resident is safe, comfortable, and cared for.

But most days remind me exactly why I chose this work.

Because leadership in assisted living isn’t just about meetings or paperwork.

Sometimes it looks like sitting beside a resident and listening.

Sometimes it looks like supporting a team member who gives their whole heart to caring for others.

Sometimes it looks like comforting a family who just wants to know their loved one is in good hands.

It isn’t always easy.

But it is deeply meaningful.

There is no greater privilege than caring for the people who once cared for everyone else.

And here at Peachtree, I am incredibly proud of the team who shows up every day with compassion, dedication, and heart for the residents who call this community home. 🍑🫶
