UAMS West Regional Campus - Fort Smith UAMS Family Medical Center Fort Smith UAMS West in Fort Smith, Arkansas is one of eight regional centers across the state.

Serving as an Area Health Education Center, UAMS West is home to a family medicine residency program, medical/pharmacy/nursing student education, community education, outreach programs, and a comprehensive medical library. Sparks Hospital and Health Management Associates, Inc. (HMA) work closely with UAMS West for inpatient admissions, resident physician education and student
education. The clinic, UAMS Family Medical Center Fort Smith, provides high quality primary care medical services including preventive, obstetrical, acute and chronic care for patients of all ages. Patients can receive many services such as inpatient care, outpatient care, procedures, lab, x-ray, and access to their own web based electronic medical records. The clinic provides cutting edge team based care and is currently nationally recognized as a NCQA certified Patient Centered Medical Home. UAMS West also participates in the CMS sponsored Comprehensive Primary Care Initiative, was named Arkansas AHEC of the year in 2009 and 2012, and is a NCQA recognized diabetes excellence center. From deploying mobile health units to expanding doula services and support, as well as facilitating partnerships across the state to strengthen hospital care, we are proving it’s possible to change the future of maternal health in Arkansas.
