‼️ Needle Exchange Program in Devils Lake @ Evolution Counseling ‼️

The purpose of a needle exchange program & harm reduction services isn’t to encourage usage or increase usage, but to ensure people struggling with addiction have resources & services available to them to reduce the harm against themselves & potentially others. By exchanging dirty needles for clean needles, you are reducing the risk of blood borne disease & spreading infectious disease such as hepatitis & HIV. This can also decrease the number of needles littered within the community. This service available in Devils Lake also provides educational information, offers harm reduction kits, & they have resources available based on their specific situation.

Thank you to The Door Recovery Center for inviting our clients to a sober christmas dinner! They have always been so warm & welcoming & we appreciate them for expanding themselves as a recovery resource to not just Spirit Lake Nation, but to all who are seeking recovery. The client enjoyed the delicious meal, got some hats & gloves, a christmas goodie bags, & they also gifted the program some walmart gift cards. They’re excited to get to spend their cards today 😊 We’re so happy to be able to bring our clients to different events, they always have so much fun.
