Wind River Indian Health Service The Wind River Service Unit is a part of the Indian Health Service - DHHS. Personal attacks, profanity, and aggressive behavior are prohibited.

We have two facilities, the Fort Washakie Health Center and the Arapaho Health Center. It is the goal of IHS to maintain respectful conversations on all new/social media tools that engage the public via the option to comment. IHS acts in accordance to the comment policy from the HHS Center for New Media, which is as follows:

We retain the discretion to determine which comments violate our comment policy. We also reserve the right to remove and/or not allow comments to get posted. The views expressed within posted comments do not necessarily reflect those of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, or the federal government. We recognize that the Web is a 24/7 medium, and your comments are welcome at any time. However, given the need to manage federal resources (i.e. - your tax dollars), moderating and posting comments should only be expected to occur during regular business hours. !!!Attention!!! The clinic will close at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday July 3rd in observance of the July 4th Independence Day holiday. We will reopen on Friday July 5th at 8:00 a.m. Please plan accordingly.

Beginning on July 1st there will be a few changes to be aware of.
1. The name of the clinic will change to Warm Valley Health Center
2. We will welcome Ms. Cathy Keene as the new CEO of Warm Valley Health Center
3. Optometry services will be unavailable until further notice due to lack of staff
4. Extended hours on Mondays and Thursdays will be suspended until further notice.

We understand some of these changes may be difficult. We look forward to continuing to serve our community and offering outstanding care to our patients.

We are excited to announce the addition of Dr. Jason Jurca to the dental department!
Jason Jurca, DDS is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. Upon completing his basic dental education, he attended residency training in advanced general dentistry at the Idaho State University Advanced Education in General Dentistry program. His previous professional experiences in dentistry include public health and private practice. His passion in dentistry is authentic and personal patient interactions with a strong emphasis on providing excellent patient care.

Dr. Jurca is married to his wife of 12 years, Arianna. They have two boys, ages one and three, and are expecting a third in August. When not involved in patient care, Dr. Jurca enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, and fishing. Please help us in welcoming Dr. Jurca!

Beginning June 3rd, the hours for the Pharmacy department will be adjusted to the following schedule to help with short staffing. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to continuing to serve your needs.

Monday and Thursday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 8 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
