Trust in the Journey

In the hush of dawn,
their voices arrive
before their wings,
a low and ancient calling
that seems to stir the very sky awake.

I pause
and in their arrowed flight
I see a story written in air,
that we too are not alone,
we carry and support each other,
lifting one another
through the ever shifting winds.

The geese do not resist the season.
They lean into its turning,
trusting the unseen path,
trusting the air itself
to hold them.

And so I breathe,
as they vanish into distance,
I too feel the quiet invitation
to move gently
with the currents of my own life,
to trust the invisible hands
that guide me forward,
as a quiet peace
now settles softly in my heart.

A blessing on your days

~ What is about to begin ~

All things heavy, we lay down
into love deeper than heavy things.

All things that make no sense
to the mortal mind, we lay them on the water.

All things dull and waiting under clouds
for the parting light, we bury in the soil to seed.

These things can become something else,
where our helping hands can help no more.

They can transform into entirely other things,
where the cocoon trembles on a branch.

And lilies flower upon a lake of dragonflies,
sharing news of what is about to begin.

And healing looks like silence
swirling with wing tips on the river.
