Enough was just enough for me. I wanted a lifestyle change rather than a quick fix. For the most part, I've always been successful in just about everything I've decided to do. However, the weight seemed to have control, literally. I found myself doing extra to compensate for the weight gain. Until I said, Okay something has to give. Get control of yourself, and that's when I considered Gastric byp

ass. After going to the orientation, I was like whoaaaa, that's pretty evasive surgery. I was under 35 years old and had never had surgery of any kind. However, I had to do something and continued in the process of the six-month weight management requirement, which included visiting a nutritionist once a month for six months. I promised myself and God that I would try to lose the weight without the surgery during the six month time period. Needless to say I was scared straight! I started to do little by little, I’d never been on any kind of exercise program, and diets – you could forget it. I ate what I wanted to eat and when I wanted to eat it (late night snacking is the worst). But this time was life or death for me…. I meant business—I took back CONTROL over that area of my life. One step at a time…. I started exercising; I began to cut back on how much I ate and lessened my Pepsi intake day by day. Week after week, my old bad eating habits and lack of exercise changed gradually. And yes the results begin to roll in. Every month during my visits with the nutritionist she’d say "you've lost more weight?!?!?! And finally she mentioned that if I lost a few more pounds I would no longer be eligible for surgery. Well, I didn’t have Gastric Bypass and have lost over 90 pounds and counting….. YOU can too! To God be all the GLORY

Your intercession is their protection.

If your children or individuals you love are struggling - it’s partially your fault. Selah!

YOUR intercession is their protection.

Your prayer life shouldn’t be passive or desperate.
It should be deliberate and consistent. Is it?

I was speaking to my family therapist last night and he made the comment about a situation “having to happen to bring the revelation that was present”. While I understood what he meant the context was not Gods alignment and I quickly reminded him that - belief system is incorrect. Because God doesn’t need trauma to transform. He’ll use it, but it’s not apart his plan in order to get our attention.

You see, God for knew you. He created a plan to prosper you NOT harm you. A plan to give you HOPE for HIS expected end. Where does trauma align with that?! It doesn’t. So don’t settle for hindsight. It’s NOT 20/20 vision. It’s DELAYED revelation: a man-made narrative that JUSTIFIES disobedience.

God has called us to ForeSIGHT - which gives us the ability to PREDICT. Foresight doesn’t just happen it’s strengthen through Fasting & Praying.

We can’t become familiar with passive praying. Praying when it’s convenient or treating it like a resort option. Somebody life and the quality thereof is DEPENDING on our Intentional Prayer Positioning.
Fasting is continual. Scripture says: WHEN you fast…

You see, Moses prayers saved Israel from destruction. Look it up.

Who’s destruction is being saved by YOUR
prayers/intercession?

Fasting is not just for you. It’s for those connected to you - known and unknown.

Your clarity of vision that only happens through fasting will help your intercession.

Remember, you are the recipient of somebody fasting and praying for you. Your blessed life as it is right now is not just because you’re great but rather the results of your “Grandmother’s” prayers (whomever interceded for you). Remember that.

Hear me very clear.

You don’t have to be anxious for nothing… no-thing.

Just Saturday, my soul reminded me of this as I was in the process of decision and that reminder was so freeing. Instantly, my nervous system relaxed and I walked up out of that internal negotiation.

The battlefield of the mind is real when it’s unkept and unhealed. Selah!

Just like you keep a clean house, you keep healthy relationships with a spouse and/or your bestie. Likewise, you should you KEEP your mind.

Colossians 3:2 says it best: “Set your mind on things above.”

I am so grateful for the work I put in (to stretch and set my mind) - when there isn’t a present need. Because the ROI is undeniable. It’s instant and doesn’t require prompting.

The 40-hr Fast Protocol was birthed because of that self work.

Like you,

I’ve fasted desperate. (That fear based posture.)

I REFUSE to Remain the Same. Same is sooooo freakin lame. And has NO place among my name.

THIS is how you BUILD momentum:
Use what you have when you have it. And let what you “don’t” have adjust. I don’t have time NOT to have time for ME. What you see in this video is a “since I’m here, while I’m here” - situation. I absolutely LOVE being ME. I will MAKE room.

What about you?

I didn’t wake up like this (although I’d love to believe that). I PRACTICE THIS. I PRIME my cellular memory for THIS.

One of my High-jacking habits is stretching myself when I don’t “need” it, so IF I need it, I ALREADY have it because I’ve PRACTICED before I participated.

The Weekend Reset: A 40-hour Fasting Protocol is one of my REINFORCEMENTS. It’s where I settle myself down, I listen DIFFERENT to come OUT of familiar places so I don’t get comfortable with Predictable progress. Are you in your own way?

Are YOU in your own way?

You see, as a Believer, we are taught to name it and claim it , that’s cool but it’s incomplete. Somewhere, some way - some thing(s) got lost in translation - and was left by the wayside like a stray.

Miracles were expected without management and mastery. Management of our actions to align with outcomes. Mastery of our decisions to re-wire (re-write) history. History of undiscipled and undisciplined behaviors.

Undiscipled & undisciplined behavior will truly have you wondering “How did I get HERE?”. And that’s the question that led me to do things different.

What I desired and what was delivered was the complete opposite and I realized I (my decisions) was the STAR actress.

You see, when you decree a thing and display contrary to what you decreed - you’re ACTING and some of us are Award winning.

Unbeknownst to us The “performance” in prayer we decree is so believable that we convince ourselves it’s enough. It’s NOT!

Prayer without aligned action is limited and leads to Resentment because you TRULY BELIEVED what you DECREED but didn’t do step 2. The work!

Faith + work is the covenant connector.

The work is different for each individual and requires intentional stillness to HEAR clearly. You must carve out space to communicate by listening to what God is saying.
