Meet DR. Seuss, a silkie chicken. He is an excellent guard. He has five toes and one toe has two claws. His skin is black, unlike other chickens that have white skin. His feathers are like soft like fur, so in many ways he is a furball. The silkie breed is excellent for breeding because the hens tend to become broody and they are great for cold weather because they have feathered feet.
