Artist Audrey Riley shares the inspiration, creativity, and heart behind “The Beautiful One,” a meaningful collaboration with Stillwater Hospice. Through vibrant colors, layered words, and deeply personal storytelling, this video explores how art can bring comfort, reflection, healing, and connection during life’s most meaningful moments.

At Stillwater Hospice, we believe compassion and creativity both have the power to comfort the human spirit. Audrey’s work beautifully reflects the mission of providing compassion, comfort, and guidance through life’s journey.

Founded in 1888, Stillwater Hospice is a nonprofit organization serving nearly 3,000 patients and families annually across northeast Indiana through hospice care, palliative care, caregiver support, and adult grief services.

A big thank you to Cub Scout Troop 3300 for visiting Stillwater Hospice recently. We loved welcoming these curious young visitors to our campus and sharing, in gentle and age-appropriate ways, what hospice care means.

We talked about how we help patients feel more comfortable and cared for near the end of life — through medicine, regular medical checkups, visits from people who care, volunteers who read to patients, and special moments with therapy dogs like our friends from 3 Rivers Dog Therapy.

Our Head Groundskeeper, John Gevers, also guided the scouts through Stillwater Prairie, sharing information about native plants and why this peaceful natural space is such an important part of healing, reflection, and comfort for the people we serve.

Thank you, Troop 3300, for spending part of your day with us and learning about compassion, comfort, and caring for others.
