Merry Christmas and happy holidays from our family to yours.

If we had the pleasure to meet and care for you this holiday season, we have some post-surgery food suggestions:

- Mashed potatoes with allll the gravy
- Turkey and ham in small bites or ground with gravy
- Sweet potatoes with marshmallows optional - a delicious addition we might add
- Stuffing - sometimes gravy necessary
- Casseroles - like green bean - avoid the crunchy pieces
- Mac n Cheese
- Soft, delicious hot rolls or croissants with butter
- Nut-free (avoid small hard pieces) desserts, soft cakes and ice cream…no sprinkles
- Indulge in some milkshakes, nog, hot coco, smoothies, fancy coffees. Just remember — drink from the glass — DO NOT use a straw
* A good rule: If it hurts, don’t eat it, or try to grind it up with gravy

Enjoy your holidays, and if you need us, we’re here for you.

If you break a front tooth on a way too candied pecan and you’re a candidate for this treatment, we offer extractions with immediate implants and temporary crowns so you don’t have to go without your front teeth.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays!

After careful consideration with regards to the health and safety of our patients and team, we have made the decision to close our office for all non-emergent oral surgery care for the next few weeks as recommended by the ADA (American Dental Association) and IDA (Indiana Dental Association). However, in order to serve you with the best of our ability, we will be available to treat true dental/oral surgery emergencies. Please contact our office if you are experiencing a true dental emergency.

This is a fluid situation with changes often coming daily. As of now, we are planning to re-open on April 27.

If you have an upcoming appointment, someone from our team will be reaching out to reschedule.

We can still be reached at 260-489-0001 with any questions or concerns.

We thank you in advance and extend our gratitude for your understanding and cooperation. Together, we can help keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible.

TIP TUESDAY:
Drink Lots of Water

Water is not only important for your overall health, but it encourages saliva production which is important for healthy teeth. Water is also much healthier and better for your teeth than sugary drinks and sodas. Over time, bacteria on your teeth use sugar to create plaque, which if not dealt with will cause teeth decay!

Happy Monday! We hope you started this week off with a smile!

TIP TUESDAY

Floss Properly

Like brushing, flossing must be done properly so that, when you reach between teeth, you actually get to the germs that are stuck there. Ideally, use a piece of floss up to 18 inches in length, allowing you to use a fresh area of floss every few teeth without reinserting bacteria you just removed. Keep in mind the floss should rub against the teeth in a motion that creates a forward or backward 'C' shape, wrapping the floss around each tooth.
