Our mission is "Bringing hope and encouragement with Christ-like love to emotionally hurting people."

We provide low-cost mental health counseling to the community and transitional housing for women.

Years ago, little Windy came with her mom to a garage sale at Hope Alive. As she browsed the tables, she was met by Millie Bishton, the woman who first dreamed of and founded Hope Alive. Millie told Windy she could pick out whatever she wanted. Windy chose this green vase (a simple treasure that has held meaning for her ever since.)

Fast forward to today: Windy is now one of our therapist interns at Hope Alive, pouring into others with the same love and care that was poured into her as a child. What a beautiful full-circle moment of God’s faithfulness!

We’re reminded that He plants seeds in unexpected ways! He sometimes does this in a conversation, sometimes in an act of kindness, and sometimes even in the form of a green vase at a garage sale.

We are so grateful for Windy, for Millie’s vision, and for the way God continues to use Hope Alive to bring healing and hope. 💜🧡🦋

There are times when life just feels off. Maybe it’s hard to put your finger on, but everything feels a little heavier, a little more overwhelming, or a little out of rhythm.

So often we think the answer is to keep pushing. We might think that we need to do more, to try harder, to force ourselves through. But in God’s Kingdom, rest is holy. Pausing is powerful. Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is to stop striving and allow ourselves to simply be held by the One who knows us best.

At Hope Alive, we hold on to this truth every day: God restores what feels broken. He meets us in the middle of the mess and gently helps us find our way back to what truly matters: His love, His healing, His hope.

If life feels “off” for you right now, know this: you’re not alone. Slow down. Breathe. Turn your heart toward Him. He’s already here, ready to walk with you.

🦋Testimony Tuesday is back!!

We are starting strong by sharing a testimony that was shared at our Gala this past Thursday. One of our incredible graduates courageously shared her journey. 🫶

At Hope Alive, Katie found a community that saw her, not her past. A place where she was welcomed without judgment and given space to heal and grow. 🌱🌷

We are beyond proud of Katie and not just for the courage it took to share her story, but for the strength she’s shown every step of the way. It has truly been an honor to have her in our program and to walk alongside her as she discovered hope, healing, and new beginnings.

God promised the Israelites a land overflowing with milk and honey. But before they ever stepped into that promise, they had to walk through the wilderness.

The journey wasn’t easy. They faced hunger, exhaustion, scorching heat, and days with little water. In those moments, they forgot what God had said and began to lose hope.

But here’s the truth: God never left them. He guided them step by step, provided what they needed, and brought them through to the place He had promised.

And isn’t that so much like us? When life feels heavy and when we’re tired, anxious, or unsure what’s ahead we panic. It’s easy to forget how faithful God has already been. It’s easy to think the wilderness will last forever.

But know this, you are not forgotten. You are not walking alone. The same God who carried the Israelites through their hardest days is carrying you too. Even in the desert, He is leading you. Even in the waiting, He is working.

Take heart today: this hard season is not the end of your story. God’s promises still stand, and He is guiding you toward them. He's taking you step by step, moment by moment.
