Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne is a continuing care living center that welcomed its first residents in January 2015. Nearly 90,000 square feet, the living center includes all levels of care - independent and assisted living apartments, healthcare, rehabilitation, and memory care. The Villas at Heritage Lakes is a 65-and-over free-standing, independent-living villa community located right on our cam

pus. Six floor plans, two and three bedroom models, two baths, two car garages. Our club house with fitness room, kitchen/coffee bar and gathering room is completely accessible at all times by our residents. Four lakes and nearly a mile of paved walkways add to the beauty of the neighborhood. We are the third location of Heritage Pointe Communities, and proudly affiliated with Heritage Pointe of Warren, IN and Heritage Pointe of Huntington. All Heritage Pointe Communities locations are owned and operated by the United Methodist Memorial Home (UMMH).

After graduating from college, Olivia Esmond found herself helping to care for her grandmother. This was the experience that revealed her deep passion for working with older adults. Jenna has been with Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne for two years, bringing a deep passion for nursing and a wealth of clinical expertise to our community. A Fort Wayne resident, Rev. Toni Carmer serves as President of the UMMH Board of Directors, bringing decades of experience in healthcare and ministry. From her early career as a psychiatric and mental health nurse to 33 years as an ordained United Methodist elder, Toni continues to support UMMH’s mission of compassionate, inclusive care.

Residents recently took a special trip to Parkview Field to enjoy a spectacular performance by the Fort Wayne Philharmonic! The evening was filled with patriotic tunes, great company, and ended with a breathtaking fireworks show lighting up the night sky.

Minister’s Second Career Leads Him to Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne

Harold Jones’s later-in-life decision to become a minister benefits the residents of Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne, who find comfort in his calming presence as the recently appointed chaplain of the senior living community.

Jones was in his mid-fifties when he decided to pursue a calling that had always spoken to him, even though he had spent the first half of his career working in factory production.
