Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne is a continuing care living center that welcomed its first residents in January 2015. Nearly 90,000 square feet, the living center includes all levels of care - independent and assisted living apartments, healthcare, rehabilitation, and memory care. The Villas at Heritage Lakes is a 65-and-over free-standing, independent-living villa community located right on our campus. Six floor plans, two and three bedroom models, two baths, two car garages. Our club house with fitness room, kitchen/coffee bar and gathering room is completely accessible at all times by our residents. Four lakes and nearly a mile of paved walkways add to the beauty of the neighborhood. We are the third location of Heritage Pointe Communities, and proudly affiliated with Heritage Pointe of Warren, IN and Heritage Pointe of Huntington. All Heritage Pointe Communities locations are owned and operated by the United Methodist Memorial Home (UMMH).

Employee Spotlight: Lisa Guthrie, Laundry Technician

Lisa has been a valued team member for 4 years and has worked in health care for nearly 10 years. Her passion for working with seniors shines through every day, as she loves hearing their life stories and sharing warm moments during her daily rounds.

“I really enjoy visiting with them when I deliver their clothes back, it’s one of the best parts of my day,” Lisa shares.

Honoring Our Veterans at Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne

Our community came together for a special Veterans Day Ceremony to recognize and honor the brave men and women who have served our country. Residents, families, and team members gathered to share gratitude, stories, and reflection as we paid tribute to our heroes.

We are deeply thankful for the service and sacrifice of all veterans.

Showing that staying active and engaged has no age limit, Marilee and Walt Gilliland, both 82, aren’t slowing down. The residents of independent living at Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne senior living community recently returned from a 17-day trip to Australia, just in time to resume their volunteer work tutoring students and promoting peace in their community.

This innovative communication tool allows families to:
- Check a resident’s status
- Receive important updates and notifications
- Communicate directly with our staff

Meet Our Board Member: Rev. Kathie S. Jones, Associate Conference Superintendent

Rev. Kathie S. Jones is a retired Ordained Elder in the Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church. With a background in mediation, leadership, and ministry, she brings wisdom and compassion to our board.

Kathie and her husband, Harold, live in Fort Wayne, where she enjoys painting, singing, and spending time outdoors.
