Carroll High School Cheerleading made HISTORY yesterday - becoming the FIRST Indiana cheerleading team to EVER win 5 consecutive VARSITY STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS⚡️The road has not been easy. Two year of being riddled with devastating injury after devastating injury. Switching our routines week after week. It was beyond exhausting and so incredibly frustrating. This year alone we weathered the storm of girls stepped away from the team, a broken elbow, a broken ankle, a severely sprained ankle (twice), a torn meniscus, a dislocated knee (twice), two sprained backs, two sprained achilles and a knee filled up with fluid!⚡️When most teams would have thrown in the towel these girls showed up, time and time again! Every single one of them worked so hard giving everything they had to uphold the legacy that is Carroll Cheer! This team consists of five returning members from cvc24 and ELEVEN rookies! Some would considered this to be a “rebuilding year”. Rebuilding or not, our girls NEVER once stopped believing they could rewrite the history books!⚡️After canceling our appearance at the first 4 comps due to injuries, we headed to NW, 3rd out of 3. We went back to work. Next we headed to BD and ROCKED the house, 1st out of 3-Grand Champions. We held steady. Then we took on the Road to State at NC, 2nd out of 6, 0.9 behind. We took a deep breath, we made it to STATE! For the last 2 weeks, our girls showed up, isolated in our Aux Gym-performing to no one, grinding, rep after rep, time and time again. Finally, yesterday happened… at 5:45pm the girls absolutely nailed their routine! They performed every skill to perfection and gave more than we could have ever asked of them for 2 minutes and 30 seconds.⚡️When every odd was stacked against them, they persevered in the most incredible way! We love you all so very much. THANK YOU for believing in yourselves, your teammates, your coaches, the program, the legacy!⚡️To the athletes and families who came before cvc25, THANK YOU, for setting the standard and leaving a legacy to uphold! We hope we made you all proud to be a CHARGER!⚡️ #545..67..Gulp…Gulp
