Paradigms are not really all that stable. They, if you are prone to growth, can shift and change and expand.
The process of a paradigm shift can be painful as aspects of the old perspective are torn down. It can feel very destabilizing, like the ground is shifting underfoot. What you understood before, what you believed and trusted, you believe no more.
Ouch! Scary! The destabilization affects the way you understand the world, and your self-concept and idenity. It modifies relationships.
When this becomes evident, some people might be prone to resist the shift and retreat, as if the shift will cost too much.
But. If you stick with it, and allow the renovation to occur, something new eventually emerges to take the place of what was lost in the remodeling.
A new point on the horizon. New bits of data to add to the dataset, and those get configured in until a new solid form is set in place.
And voila! What you saw before, you can longer see. You see it a new way. A new sense of stability, and the form or view is bigger, wider, or more comprehensive.
Oh, and this change isn’t merely an ethereal one either! It is hardwired into matter- in your neural pathways.
In changing your perspective, you have changed your brain. In changing your mind, you have influenced the expression of matter.
