Wellness Wednesday: Community Connections!

Rooted in Healing: Karah Wynn, MSW, LCSW, PMH-C
Specialized in trauma therapy, perinatal mental health, and grief. Trained in EMDR, DBT, EFT, MI, and TF-CBT. Person-centered and strength-based therapy.

I have a Master of Social Work with a focus on mental health and addictions and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and certified in perinatal mental health (PMH-C).

After becoming a mother, I witnessed the gap in therapists in the area who specialize in maternal mental health. I am passionate about helping mothers through their perinatal journey and experienced in working with individuals to support them in effectively managing and addressing stress, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, perinatal mental health, and other mental health concerns. I specialize in working with adults with complex trauma and grief.

I opened up a new practice, Rooted in Healing, in 2024 and hope to continue to focus on supporting mothers.

I am thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of my private practice in May! Last year, friends and colleagues encouraged me to start my own practice. Each time my response was “no way!” But after much contemplation, I have decided to take the leap and pursue this new venture. The journey ahead will be exciting and challenging and I look forward to the opportunity to continue to make a positive impact on the lives of my clients.
