Being a doula is in less than 10 min we go from talking and saying good night to emergency c-section and I made it on time

The night before reminded me exactly why I do this work 🤍

What was supposed to be one kind of birth quickly turned into an emergency c-section. Emotions were high, fear was real, and everything started moving fast…

But one thing stayed the same — I never left her side.

I held her hand.
I looked her in her eyes.
I reminded her to breathe.
I made sure she didn’t feel alone in that moment.

Even in the operating room… even behind those blue curtains… a mother still needs support.

People think doulas are just for natural births, but THIS right here is where we matter too. When things don’t go as planned. When mom is scared. When everything feels out of her control.
That’s where I step in.
Baby made it here safely. Mom did amazing. And I’m so grateful I was there to walk her through it all.

This is more than a job for me… this is purpose.
