Are you capable? 🎯

You’d be surprised how long building corridors and hallways have become with modern architectural design. Clean lines and long sightlines might look impressive, but aesthetics don’t equal safety. In the wrong situation, distance can become a serious liability depending on what tool you bring and your skill level at THAT moment.

We MUST operate under higher standards. Discipline, awareness, and adherence to universal safety rules matter because our adversaries do not honor such a code. Train with intention.

As the unfortunate few who’ve had to experience this, he said this 💯accurately. Church safety teams, civilians, and anyone responsible for the safety of others; strip your title away and look at the irreversible decision of taking a life. The title you carry doesn’t matter, the soul behind it does and will be affected in your own way.

Check-In: What does your organization, church, department have in place for the person who has to make a life and death decision, not the policy but the human support?

It was POWERFUL watching perfect strangers have to answer this question to one another when put on the spot.

The person who was responsible for other’s safety was ‘on the spot’ when they had to make an irreversible life-altering decision AND they survived it to be here today. Many times their actions SAVE others but go without mention. The INTENTIONAL silence and avoidance of the subject does more harm than good. You’re not going to victimize someone by talking about it, but you WILL when you ignore it.

Having a “policy” in place is one thing but supporting the person can look different in each case. You’ll never know the right response until you have the COURAGE to reach out to that person.

Sound acclimation can SAVE a life. ⏱ Chances are, you have no idea what THIS sounds like in YOUR building. đŸ’„ You need to fix this NOW if you’re going to cut into the reaction times of those you’re responsible for keeping safe.

We unfortunately hear this a lot, “I thought it was construction noise
It wasn’t as loud as we thought
I had no idea how muffled it sounds” Many of us know what it sounds like on the range/outdoors, but inside it’s a whole other experience.
