🚨 It was recently announced that Carelon Behavioral Health will assume responsibility for Anthem’s behavioral health operations in Indiana. Unfortunately, the initial communication to providers was unclear, leading many counselors to believe that reimbursement rates for certain services could be cut by nearly 50%.

Carelon has since clarified that they do not plan to reduce Anthem reimbursement rates. However, it’s critical that we hold them accountable to this commitment. If you live in Indiana, we urge you to contact your lawmakers and ask them to help protect fair counselor reimbursement rates.

While Fort Wayne Pride isn’t until next month, there are still plenty of ways to celebrate, connect, and show your support during Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈

Fort Wayne’s first Pride Fest was held in July 1998, a year before President Clinton first recognized Pride Month in 1999 as Gay and Le***an Pride Month—and over a decade before it was officially declared LGBT+ Pride Month by President Obama in 2009. Because our celebration predates the federal recognition, Fort Wayne Pride has proudly remained in July ever since. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Among other celebrities and public figures, Miley Cyrus opened up about the transformative impact EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy has had on her life. Through EMDR, she was able to explore deeply rooted experiences and generational trauma that had shaped her identity and relationships.

Miley described the process as feeling like a "hypnotic state," where she could revisit past memories in vivid detail—but in reality, EMDR works through something called dual awareness. While the experience may feel trance-like or dreamlike at times, you remain fully conscious and present. It’s less about hypnosis and more like entering a state of flow or free association, where your brain can process safely while staying anchored in the here and now.

During one powerful session, Miley described a vision of both herself and her mother being handed to her grandmother as infants—a symbolic moment that revealed patterns of emotional need passed down through generations. This imagery, paired with comforting visuals of loved ones (including her partner and her late dog), helped alleviate long-held anxieties, including stage fright.

Miley’s reflections capture what makes EMDR so powerful: it helps people tap into and process the emotional weight of past experiences—sometimes inherited ones—in a way that brings lasting relief. Her story reminds us that healing isn't just about moving forward; sometimes it’s about gently looking back, with support, and making sense of what we find there.
