Turn of year always brings Board of Directors changes, and we’d like to make some announcements!

Thank you to Chris Niezer of Gibson for your tenure as Board Chair for the past two years! Your leadership has been integral in GiveHear’s growth, and we are so happy you’re committing to a second Director’s term.

Chris is passing the Chair position to Ron Pinter of Ruoff Mortgage, so we are in GREAT hands!

Thank you to Natalie Makowski of Katz Sapper Miller for your Board service for the past 3 years! Natalie has served as previous Treasurer and will continue to be involved with GiveHear as a member of our Finance Committee.

We welcome Dr. Camille Smith of Fort Wayne Pediatrics BACK to the Board - a super win for GiveHear!

We just hit the 500 mark in number of hearing aids fit for the year, which means 2025 will be another record-setter in service to the community! Thank you for entrusting our team with your hearing healthcare!

Thrilled and beyond grateful, we are excited to share that the AWS Foundation has awarded us a $45,000 operating grant! Funds will be used to support our outreach and clinic services for infants and children. Early identification and rehabilitation of hearing loss is so important.

“Identifying hearing loss early can help prevent some developmental delays,” says AWS Foundation CEO Patti Hays. “The work GiveHear does for the youth in our region ensures early interventions and better outcomes for the child with a hearing loss."
