Staff and residents learned about African American inventors like George Washington Carver, who made advances in agricultural science; Garrett Morgan, who invented the 3-position traffic light; and Madam C.J. Walker, who created a line of beauty and haircare products, making her the 1st female self-made millionaire!

Jenny came to Glenbrook for rehab following hospitalization after multiple falls at home. When she was first admitted, she needed assistance from staff for all her activities of daily living (ADL). She was only able to take some steps with a walker with assistance. She was determined to return home in a short period of time and worked hard with the therapy team!
Jenny got stronger and safer over time and was able to walk with a walker by herself in the community. She became completely independent with her ADLs and was able to manage stairs safely. She was very excited to go back home to her family. She is a very involved, proud mom of her sons!

In fact, they become an extension of your family. We are located just south of Coliseum Blvd. E. across from the Allen County War Memorial and just north of Downtown Fort Wayne. Friends and family members are encouraged to visit loved ones. Take a day trip downtown and enjoy the city! We are also close to the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo and several parks, including Johnny Appleseed Memorial Park, Bob Arnold Northside Park and Vesey Park. Seniors will feel safe and at home with our personalized rehabilitation, nursing, long-term, respite and hospice care programs. Accepting Medicare, Managed Care and Private Insurances, our specialists will help you understand your benefits. We also accept Medicaid and can help with the application process. Call and ask for a member of our admissions team for more senior living information or stop by and visit. We look forward to serving you!
