This week the ACVC team and board members met for their annual planning retreat! They discussed accomplishments that the team has achieved for the current academic year and goals for the 2026-2027 school year.

The team is looking forward to the 5th year of providing comprehensive eye care and prescription glasses to all eligible FWISD students!!

The ACVC team delivered gift bags to two nurses that were recognized as Champions of Children’s Vision for 2025-2026 🎉❤️

Edward J Briscoe Elementary School achieved the highest percentage growth for student referrals who received eye exam services as compared to the 2024-2025 school year. An incredible growth of 52% is a testament to the hard work and dedication of Nurse Krisyla Gillmore! We are extremely proud of you 💚

West Handley Elementary School achieved the highest percentage of referrals who received eye exam services, with an impressive 99%. Out of 98 students referred, 96 of those students received eye exams. This showcases the unwavering dedication and effort of Nurse Michelle Aderholt. We appreciate all that you do for your students 💙
