Now, more than ever, we need your help to expand Urban Village Family Services mission and to continue to provide comprehensive social services and resources to the community!

It’s Giving Tuesday—a global day of giving. Give a gift that will help UVFS and our partners thrive and will pave a way for a more prosperous and sustainable quality of life for the future of our community.

Are you ready for GivingTuesday (Dec. 3) and the year-end holiday giving season?

🧸Our community of practice partnerships missions are to cultivate a healthier, stronger and more self-reliant community by increasing access to fresh produce, building cooperative growing spaces and providing education about how to grow and prepare fresh produce.

🥒Our Farmers Market/community pantry will provide workshops, a learning space and a safe place to just be. We will provide monthly plant based food demonstrations and healthy eating classes provided by our local partners, garden cultivation, movement and natural exploration in a safe green environment.

Our impact so far, included the following:
🍳Health/Nutrition Education through hands-on cooking
🥣food handlers safety
🍓Community gardens that increase access to fresh fruits and vegetables
🤓volunteer opportunities
🫶🏾Healthy lifestyle programs that teach prevention and care of conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and obesity
😷Hygiene classes
♿️Supplemental food programs for vulnerable populations like aging adults, those with developmental disabilities and the unhoused
♨️food banks/programs, produce packs offered and we are certified to accept SNAP benfits

With your help, we can continue to impact our community in providing resources to thrive.

Here is how you can make a difference :
💰50 - monthly support to facilitate our community gardens and farmer’s market
💰100 - helps purchase materials for our programs
💰500 - Helps to purchase equipment for our upcoming Farm site
💰1000 - Sponsors a FULL community garden installation for a local school site

We have created new community partnerships, hired new support, our programs are growing and so are the seeds we are sowing 🌱🪴

We have been busy at work building our village and expanding our reach this past year. 🙏🏾 As we close out the year, our plans are to share BTS photos, videos and more as we have grown our team, our initiatives and impact in our community‼️

Our goal starting now, is to engage more and get back to sharing the amazing collabs and service to the community.

Hours: 25-30 hrs per week

A job coach supports people with disabilities as they prepare to enter the workforce. They may work with a person individually or in a group setting, either in or out of the workplace, as they build the skills and habits necessary for success in a specific job function.

▪︎This position is responsible for sharing information on company culture, policies, procedures, and performance expectations.

▪︎Serves as a liason between employee and employer, reducing new employee anxiety, and setting the course for job readiness and development.

▪︎The job coach performs in support of the policies, goals, and objectives established by Urban Village Family Services, LLC
