“The violence of self-improvement.” Oof. This came from a talk on retreat and it hit me so hard.

Growth and evolution are BEAUTIFUL, so deeply beautiful and necessary. But constant striving for improvement and change is denying the life and the self that is actually here.

Instead of constantly excavating and living as the aspirational self, the healing begins when we live in the truth of who we are now, what we’re feeling now, and loving all of it. Holding the self we are today with a kindness and care that is hard to find.

Am I taking time to BE in my life? With the mess and the unfinished self and the drama? This moment here and now are the “good old days” that we’ll reflect back on when we’re older.

My 2026 has no goals or words or intentions other than to REST in the residue of the past 3 years of major growth and healing.

Not wishing for my life to be other than it is. Again, such a strong word but not inflicting that violence on this beautiful life by rejecting any of it.

Being here now, resting FINALLY, and enjoying surfing the waves. 🌊

Much love and happy new year, precious friends. ❤️

✨ The new Daily Well is here ✨ www.Thedailywell.co

To our precious community—thank you.

Your presence, your practice, your trust… this is what makes The Daily Well possible.

When I transitioned from Lauren Yoga to The Daily Well, it was for this moment.

A space built for real life. For nervous-nervous systems. For depth, steadiness, and care.

It feels like time to let a little more sunshine in ☀️

What’s new (and what’s coming):

• Monthly live-streamed sound baths — AirPods in, snuggle up in bed, long exhale

• 50+ live-streamed classes each month with a more consistent rhythm (Yes… class EVERY single Saturday morning 🤍)

• A growing teaching team to keep the energy fresh and inspired

• A monthly Teacher’s Practice for those who hold space for others

• Ongoing tech + experience upgrades so everything is easier to find, join, and revisit

This isn’t about more content. It’s about more care, more consistency, and more support for your inner life.

Thank you for being here.

Welcome to the next chapter of The Daily Well ✨

One of my FAVORITE yoga classes in Fort Worth is at with . If you like my classes…you’ll love hers. ❤️

Along with her musician friend Paula, she’s leading a January retreat in Belize for 6 days and 5 nights (my preferred retreat length…just enough!)

An island oasis, Thatch Caye lends itself to creating a refuge of heart and spirit. Come together for meditation, reflection, journaling, multi-level flow classes, and restorative practices, connections, live piano, and an opportunity to disconnect from your day to day life in order to get back to what is most important.

It was an honor to be invited to the 2024 Yelp Women in Leadership retreat last year, but an even bigger honor to be invited BACK for 2025!

Magic and healing happens when women gather and get real about the struggles of being a woman in leadership. We are not alone in our experience, our journey is completely different than that of a man’s and our story matters…and we belong at the table. 🌹

It seems like I’m in the era of having my assumptions proved wrong left and right. How wonderful!

Our grant advisor at , , invited me to Rotary at the end of last year. I thought OK, ci**rs in a dark old room with lots of white men older than me.

I was so pleased to see the diversity in the room, the brightness in energy, the incredible food, the quality of speakers in leadership from all around Fort Worth, and most importantly the backbone of service that this group runs its mission through.

Yesterday I became an official member!

May we continue to keep our hearts soft and our eyes and minds open in this world divided into two groups : people who think they’re right and people who think they’re right. 😝

Pictured with us is the absolutely wonderful Ann Sheets, current President who has welcomed me with open arms.

Every morning, something new and destabilizing in the news. Our country, the world, changing so quickly, what will everything look like in one year three years 10 years?

But did you see the way the sun was peeking through the trees this morning? ☀️ Did you see that flower that was as big as my hand 🌺 and the way fuchsia toenail polish looks against the green grass? 🍃

We really can hold it all, my friends. It takes some practice to not get stuck on what’s tragic…we are wired to let the painful parts of life be really sticky. A good practice these days would be to notice fleeting moments of awe and fascination, beauty and nature.

As humans we need to put language around things to make sense of things. (This gets dangerous when we think our language is the only language, but I digress.) But we’re really all having the same conversation.

I’ve been teaching Saturday morning yoga for the past five years, & I love our little community. 🥰 Yoga today was focused on lymphatic flow via the lymphatic vessels and veins. Traditional Chinese Medicine would call it releasing stagnation via the meridians, and in the yoga tradition it’s balancing the chakras and working with nadis. Whatever we call it it’s the process of keeping the channels open, physically, emotionally, spiritually, mentally.

What I learned with my own health and hopefully longevity is that visiting the doctor is only scratching the surface. Daily I must move energy, release things that feel constricted or stuck, talk about the situation with someone festering underneath the surface, and keep processing the emotion of lived experience, which ultimately leads to the freedom to live and love and feel immense joy in life. ❤️
