Fibula Teeth

We had a great time at our most recent Fibula Teeth course in Fort Worth, Texas teaching the "Jaw in a Day" surgery! Oral surgeons, plastic surgeons, ENT surgeons and prosthodontists from across the USA participated to be able to offer this treatment back home. We will teach you how to reconstruct the jaws and have your patients wake up with immediate implants, and immediate teeth.

The course was created by Dr. Fayette Williams and also includes Dr. Dan Hammer and Dr. Mike Andersen as faculty. This is made possible by generous support from Stryker, 3D Systems, and Nobel Biocare. The course is currently limited to USA doctors.

This treatment works best for benign tumors such as ameloblastomas, myxomas, etc. But we are doing these for select malignancies also.

Our group just published the largest series to date on immediate implants and teeth during fibula jaw reconstruction. 95 implants in 22 patients with about half requiring skin paddles.

The placement of immediate implants and teeth during jaw reconstruction using a fibula free flap has increased in recent years. Modifications of traditional fibula reconstructive techniques are needed to maximize success. This technique has not been described in patients requiring simultaneous soft....

Our team published our digital workflow for immediate teeth in fibulas in the Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. This is the first ever in-house digital workflow for creating immediate teeth which eliminates waiting for an outside lab and lowers the cost:
