The death of Stephen “Twitch” Boss truly shocked the world because no one realized he was hurting, not even his wife. To everyone who knew him, he appeared very happy and his life seemed to be great.
His death is a reminder to us all that you never know what’s going on in someone’s life. Even when things seem perfect, a person can be deeply hurting.
The truth is, you never know how close a person can be to giving up. This should be a reminder to check on your friends, especially the strong ones. They might be hiding depression, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts behind their smile.
If a family member is on your mind, give them a call or reach out. Let them know you care. You might be the difference that tilts them from su***de and hopelessness to hopefulness and feeling like life is still worth living.
If you, or anyone you know, is struggling with depression, anxiety, or su***de, please don’t be afraid to ask for help. If you don’t feel safe to tell anyone, feel free to DM me. As a mental health professional, I can help guide you to the correct resources so you feel heard and supported 💖.
