Dr. Grant Booher, a DFW native, is a board eligible and spine fellowship trained neurosurgeon at the Fort Worth Brain and Spine Institute. He specializes in minimally invasive and robotic assisted spine surgical techniques, in addition to the treatment of general neurosurgical disorders.
Dr. Booher was born and raised in Arlington, TX. After graduating from Martin High School in just three years, he attended the University of Texas at Austin where he graduated with honors and received bachelor degrees in Neurobiology and Psychology. He then went on to earn his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. During medical school, he was elected president of the Arnold P. Govern Gold Humanism Honor Society for exceptional and compassionate clinical care. He went on to attend residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
During his Neurosurgical training he completed a minimally invasive spine fellowship with special focus on robotic applications. He was one of the first in the nation to train in advanced image guidance and robotic assisted techniques. His practice focuses on degenerative lumbar, thoracic and cervical disease/injury.
Dr. Booher believes in a conservative and holistic approach when it comes to his patients. He prides himself on exhausting all nonsurgical options prior to surgical planning, but is happy to offer the least invasive techniques when clinically indicated. He approaches every patient as though they were a family member. During his free time, he and his wife enjoy watching sports, listening to Texas country music, and traveling.
