MASK UPDATE (5-24-2021)

As of now, I am still requiring masks while clients are in the face-up or side-lying positions. However, if you are
1) fully vaccinated (two weeks past your final vaccine dose) and
2) will allow me to put an alternative precaution in place*,
I am relaxing the mask requirement for clients while they are in the face down position.

As the point of contact for all my clients and therefor the main vector for potential viral transmission, I will continue to wear a mask regardless. In addition, my cleaning regiment has not changed, and I will continue to be as thorough as possible with my cleaning between clients.

Thank you very much, and I hope to see you soon!

*I have been assured that this precaution is more comfortable than being face-down in a mask, but please feel free to call or text with any questions or concerns. ๐Ÿ™‚

For those of you wondering how I'm deciding when to get rid of my mask policy, I am following the guidance of the experts at the CDC. Below are links to the CDC pages with the most useful information about vaccination and preventative measures. Hope this helps!

Hi all!

First, I want to let you know that I have received both shots of the COVID vaccine. I also want to thank each and every one of you who has also gotten the vaccine for helping to keep yourself and your community safe.

That said, it might seem like we are in the free and clear and no longer need masks during massages. Unfortunately, that isn't the case. In getting the vaccine, you and I have done as much as we can to protect ourselves against the potentially life-altering effects of COVID-19. Unfortunately, even with the vaccine in our system, we can still contract it and carry it and pass it on to others. That's where masks come in.

I work with a lot of clients who have people at home that are either not eligible for the vaccine or simply haven't been able to go get it yet. Wearing masks helps keep them safe by minimizing the amount of potential virus that might make its way into the massage room. To further minimize the potential for spread between clients, I back this up with thorough cleaning of my equipment between each client.

I know wearing masks can be frustrating and uncomfortable. And I hope that I won't need to require them for very much longer. For now, though, I ask you to join me in doing everything we can to help keep all of my clients and, by extention, their families as safe and healthy as we can.

Thank you for your continued patience, and I hope to see you soon!

Continued Mask Requirement:

On 3/3/2021, Governor Abbot announced the end of the mask mandate (effective 3/10). For the health and safety of my clients, I will be continuing my policy of requiring masks to be worn over both the mouth and nose for the entirety of their massage. This policy will remain in place until I - with the guidance of the CDC and other health experts - am confident that enough Texans have been vaccinated against COVID-19 to minimize the risk of the virusโ€™ spread.

Thank you for your cooperation, and I hope to see you soon!

In an attempt to help slow community spread of COVID 19, I will be closing my business for the two weeks following the Christmas holiday. This means I will not be in the office between December 24th and January 12th.

I would love to see you before that, if it's in the cards. Otherwise, I hope to see you happy and healthy afterwards.

Thank you to all of my clients who have been patient and understanding as we all navigate this pandemic. I appreciate you all so much!

Stay safe!

COVID-19 UPDATE:

Please be aware of my updated mask policy. In the past I've been lenient about allowing clients, especially those with breathing difficulties, to have their masks below their noses while they are face down. Because I am having trouble finding aerosol disinfectants and for the health and safety of myself and my other clients, I will no longer be able to provide this leniency. Masks will need to be worn over the nose and mouth at all times during our sessions. If lying face down with a mask is difficult for you, we have the option of using a side-lying position or having you remain face up for the entire session.

In addition, I have been following the COVID rates of infection and the North Texas hospital capacity percentages. Things arenโ€™t looking too good at the moment and should trends continue the way they are, I might need to close my business down in the coming weeks (unless the state of Texas does it for me). I will let you know if that happens.

Thank you for bearing with me during these difficulties as I do my part to improve our community well-being.
