Dr. Guevara is Board Certified in Family Medicine. He owns Rockwood Medical Clinic and has practiced in Fort Worth for more than 28 years in a largely Latino Spanish speaking community. While attending The Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, he was the first Mexican American to serve as a Class President and a Founding Member and Past President of the Texas Association of Mexican American Medical Students. After graduating with numerous Honors from T.C.O.M., he has gone on to serve as T.C.O.M Alumni Board President, Past T.O.M.A District II President, Past Vice Chief of Staff of Osteopathic Medical Center, Founder and Past President of the Texas Independent Osteopathic Physicians Association, Founder and Past President of the Mednet Physicians Network And a Founding Advisor of the Annual Fort Worth Hispanic Wellness Fair. He is a nationally recognized advisor for Type II Diabetes and Certified by the American Diabetes Association for the "Elite Diabetic Patient Care Program". Dr. Guevara is the 2008 recipient of the "Outstanding Doctor and Healthcare Hero Award" by the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, 2007 "Top Doc" Award by Forth Worth Magazine, 2009 "Super Doctor" by Texas Monthly Magazine and 2009 "Special Chairman's Award" by The United Hispanic Council. He currently serves as a member of the AOA, an officer on the Board of Governors of the ACOFP and Board Member of T.O.M.A. He also serves as a Clinical Associate Preceptor Professor for TCOM/UNTHSC, UTHSC of San Antonio, and Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Guevara is dedicated to providing uncompromising, individualized and compassionate care for all of his patients.
