Just like having a fitness trainer at the gym or a mentor at the office, when you’ve got a pro to help light the way, achieving your goals becomes a lot easier. But while most people know what they should be doing to improve their health, but aren’t necessarily following through with it or they get overwhelmed with all of the information out there and they don’t know where to start. Health Coaches
provide ongoing support, motivation, and guidance to help you reach your health and wellness goals. They give you relevant information to help you make sustainable changes to your lifestyle and eating habits that improve your health. "There’s far more to good health than calories, rules, and willpower." While most traditional doctors are trained to treat the symptoms or disease by recommending or prescribing medication or surgery, Health Coaches look for the root cause of the problem instead, and then help you implement change to improve it. Most Dietitians and Nutritionists focus on calories, carbohydrates, and fats…and restrictions and lists of good & bad foods (which is easier said than done!). Health Coaches don’t just “tell you what to eat” but instead work with you on how to achieve what you want to work toward through action plans and specific techniques. Our health and weight are affected by more than just the foods we eat, and Health Coaches take that into account and solve for that missing piece. In addition, most people already have a good idea of what foods are healthy and what they should be eating, but have excuses for why they aren’t eating that way (not enough time, it’s too expensive, other foods don’t taste as good, we all have our vices). Health Coaches help people overcome their excuses and reset their mind in a way that easily fits into their lifestyle.
