That's a wrap! New Student Orientation at UNT Health Fort Worth College of Pharmacy ended on a high note on Day 4 with BLS training and a lawn party with tacos and snow cones sponsored by for our P1 students. 🌮 🍧

Day 3 of orientation was phenomenal! CVS pharmacy hosted an engaging presentation for our new pharmacy students. Mark Herndon, from our college's second graduating class also shared valuable information about his journey, the industry and his career path with CVS Pharmacy. 🥼✨

🍦Life is sweet at UNT Health Fort Worth! Our new student pharmacists got a sweet break on day 2 of orientation with compliments of UNT Health's Center for Student Life. Day 3 is already underway and full of valuable activities, resources and information to prepare them to take on year 1 like champs!

It’s Day 2 of orientation, and we’re so thrilled to meet all the new faces joining our UNT Health College of Pharmacy . The energy is infectious, and we can’t wait to watch each of you grow into future leaders in healthcare!
A huge shoutout to Pharmacy for joining us today and being a part of the beginning of our students' journeys. Welcoming them into the pharmacy profession and sharing information about valuable opportunities that will help shape their future as pharmacists.
Let's also take a moment to appreciate our amazing orientation leaders! Some of them who were in the same shoes just a year ago, and now doing an incredible job showing new student pharmacists the ropes and making them feel right at home. The best part? This is only the beginning and the best is yet to come! 🙌

Pharmacy Preview Day was fantastic!✨
Students had the chance to connect with faculty, engage in hands-on activities like pill counting, and get a real feel for what the pharmacy journey looks like. We’re looking forward to more days of this close, interactive engagement and supporting students in their pharmacy formation at UNT Health College of Pharmacy. 💊👩‍🔬

Our students shined at this year's TPA Conference & Expo in Austin!✨
The UNT Health College of Pharmacy team rocked the OTC Jeopardy competition, taking third place overall (Team: Daniel Uribe, Mariana Martinez, Alex Flores-Xie & Christy Luong). Alex Flores-Xie also competed in the patient counseling competition. Three of our students were awarded scholarships by the Texas Pharmacy Foundation (Alex Flores- Xie, Sara Vanallen & Brianna Berckenhoff). Congratulations!!! 👏🏅

Our amazing faculty did an exceptional job representing our College of Pharmacy at this year's AACP Annual Meeting in Chicago. 🎉 👏

●Dr. Adenike Atanda-Oshikoya and Dr. Abigail Torres connected with members from the Women in Academia SIG. Dr. Atanda-Oshikoya is the Chair-Elect for the 2025-2026 cycle and Dr. Torres served as the Networking Committee chair in the 2024-2025 leadership cycle.

●Dr. Rolake Neba and Dr. Adenike Atanda-Oshikoya partnered to create and present our College of Pharmacy poster at the conference and led a roundtable discussion at the meeting about the HSCCP student professionalization initiative.

"I am also thankful for the rich dialogue and shared passion for student success that was conveyed by the members of the academy that I interacted with during our poster and roundtable discussion sessions. I am also grateful to Dr Rolake Neba for partnering with me to champion student professionalization in our profession." -Dr. Atanda.
