Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South We’re a unified network of care dedicated to helping you feel whole in every aspect of your health and wellness.

Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South opened in 1977 as a member of Adventist Health System, the largest not-for-profit Protestant health care organization in the U.S. In 2012, Texas Health Resources and Adventist Health System formed a partnership to own Texas Health Huguley Hospital, with Adventist Health System managing the daily operations of the hospital. And in 2016, Texas Health Huguley opened a beautiful new hospital. Operated by Adventist Health System, Texas Health Huguley continues the tradition of healthcare that recognizes that total health is achieved through the proper balance of physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being. Located on I-35W in south Fort Worth, Texas Health Huguley is licensed for more than 350 beds. The hospital includes a medical intensive care unit, a cardiovascular critical care unit, a progressive care unit, open heart surgery center and behavioral health. We have accredited programs in orthopedics, chest pain and inpatient diabetes, plus we have an award-winning emergency department available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. More than 350 primary care and specialty physicians provide a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. We are people from many faiths and cultures, united to relieve suffering and bring healing to people. “I remember how devoted and attuned to their tasks all of the OB nurses were.”

One of the very first babies born at our hospital arrived on September 21, 1978, and her name is Joy. Today, Joy is 47 years old and a grandmother, and her father recently shared incredible photos and memories from that special day.

Reflecting on this milestone reminds us how far we’ve come and why our commitment to caring for body, mind, and spirit matters. From the very beginning, our team has worked to create a place where families feel supported and cared for through every stage of life.

We’re so grateful to the Morgan family for sharing this beautiful piece of Huguley’s history with us. 💙

Some dishes can bring discomfort for those living with GERD. Here are 6 common triggers to keep in mind this Thanksgiving:

1️⃣ Fried Turkey: High fat slows digestion.
2️⃣ Creamy Mashed Potatoes with Butter: Rich and fatty, a classic trigger.
3️⃣ Stuffing with Sausage or Butter: Heavy and greasy, hard on reflux.
4️⃣ Green Bean Casserole: Cream-based and often topped with fried onions.
5️⃣ Cranberry Sauce: Naturally acidic, can irritate the esophagus.
6️⃣ Pumpkin Pie: High in fat, sugar, and spices like cinnamon.

✅ Tip: Swap in lighter versions or smaller portions to enjoy the holiday without the burn!

💬 Which of these is your must-have dish? Let us know in the comments!
