THE GOLDEN RULE - APPLIES HERE TOO!

This morning, while contemplating the Golden Rule ( Do unto others as you would have them do unto you), and it's many applications in everyday life, I realize how it applies to my massage therapy practice as well. Let me explain . I really dislike going for massage therapy and receiving only very light touch , leaving with all the tights muscles and "knots" I came in with. On the other hand , I am not a fan of someone digging elbows into a tight and tender muscle , making me want to jump off the table , rather than relax on to it , especially when I know there are better way to accomplish to same desired results.
Therefore, I do my best to consistently give the type of massage I like to receive . I guess I strive for the" Goldilocks" effects, not too light to be beneficial or so deep it's painful and stressful. The "just right" pressure and technique for each individual client is my goal.

If that sounds like something that might be right for you, please call to discuss scheduling an appointment. Either way, just keep practicing the Golden Rule.

HEALTHY AGING.
ACHES AND PAINS MAY BE CONSIDERED NORMAL BUT ARE THEY NECESSARY?
Aging is a normal life process that can bring many benefits, yet it's not without challenges as well. The one I hear most often is " Just the normal aches and pains" . Do aches and pains really have to be normal? In many cases the answer is NO!. Of course, it is always best to check with your Doctor first to determine the source of your pain, but once cleared , the simple solution of massage therapy can bring about significant improvement by itself and if/when combined with gentle movements such as Qigong or Tai Chi it can improve if not eliminate some, if not all, of the aches and pains, PLUS improve circulation of blood and lymph, improve immune system function , reduce anxiety and sleeplessness and increase feeling of well being and more. Why not try this safe and effective method to enhance your quality of life.
