Mountain Cedar, or Juniperus ashei, a drought tolerant evergreen, is prevalent in central Texas. It can cause "cedar fever" with a number of allergic symptoms such as sneezing, itching and nasal dripping. Mountain Cedar season begins in the fall and lasts through winter.
